LCFC FOX Posted 7 September 2013 Posted 7 September 2013 Please can they swap Kyle Walker with Kyle Naughton by deed poll he's much better than Glen Johnson
Leicesterpool Posted 7 September 2013 Posted 7 September 2013 We can't really afford to play two strikers at the moment!
Guest MattP Posted 7 September 2013 Posted 7 September 2013 I like how after beating the might of Moldova Ukraine away has all of a sudden became a piece of piss.
Carl the Llama Posted 7 September 2013 Posted 7 September 2013 I like how after beating the might of Moldova Ukraine away has all of a sudden became a piece of piss. Aye. Â Make no mistake, we've got the 3 most tricky teams in our group left to play. Â And with 2 of them so close to us pointswise, nothing should be taken for granted.
Corky Posted 7 September 2013 Posted 7 September 2013 Easy win, as expected. Like the look of Lambert, seems a very aware footballer of the game around him, and obviously full of confidence after his last three or four seasons. Â Welbeck's booking was ridiculous.
Fox92 Posted 7 September 2013 Posted 7 September 2013 I like how after beating the might of Moldova Ukraine away has all of a sudden became a piece of piss. Â Yeah I thought that. I'd expect us to be more defensive on Tuesday, I'm expecting Milner to play out wide for his defensive duties. It will be a tough game, and we'll most probably draw.
purpleronnie Posted 7 September 2013 Posted 7 September 2013 I like how after beating the might of Moldova Ukraine away has all of a sudden became a piece of piss.  It's funny reading some articles after the game you'd think we'd beaten a top side they were one of the worst sides I've ever seen, so much for the press not going OTT over England anymore, lambert is the new messi according to some. We'll need to improve against Ukraine to even get a result. Fingers crossed.
Dan Posted 7 September 2013 Posted 7 September 2013 Am I the only one starting to warm to Welbeck a bit?
Guest shearfox Posted 7 September 2013 Posted 7 September 2013 Am I the only one starting to warm to Welbeck a bit? Nope, he looks like he can finish, getting into far more advanced positions in the box now. Annoyed that he got that silly yellow card.
Stadt Posted 7 September 2013 Posted 7 September 2013 Nope, he looks like he can finish, getting into far more advanced positions in the box now. Annoyed that he got that silly yellow card.We need all the pace we can get, Welbeck and Sturridge up top with Rooney in behind.
Rincewind Posted 7 September 2013 Posted 7 September 2013 I don't know when they are playing. Have they played already? Just looked on the red button. Never realised they played last night. Stuck in general Chat Ukraine won 9-0 8 different scorers.
fuchsntf Posted 7 September 2013 Posted 7 September 2013 Well we 've seen off the mollies, but I cant see England Getting anything in the Ukraine. I DONT WANT a lucky draw, or bad luck stories. This team even without 1-2 strikers , should be good enough.its time either to play their normal poor International game or prove they have turned the corner, and can play, yes P L A Y football at this level, and deservedly stay top of their group, by playing football with some level of skill. You swagger through the English nite clubs willing to blame the managers for everything Now go out and earn the admiration you think you deserve. Or each player in turn should be forced in front of the camera if they lose And say...."I and my teammates are not smarter than a ten year old "l
Dan Posted 7 September 2013 Posted 7 September 2013 Nope, he looks like he can finish, getting into far more advanced positions in the box now. Annoyed that he got that silly yellow card. Â He just looks all-round better. He still has his moments of looking like a clumsy prat but he's looking far more confident, plays with more FLAIR and both of his goals were very well taken. Â Impressed me against Scotland too, although he'll have to do more than perform against Scotland & Moldova to win me over completely. Â Definitely think there's worse out there than him though.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 8 September 2013 Posted 8 September 2013 It's that ****ing scoop that inevitably ends up in orbit that Welbeck tries that ****s me off. Put your ****ing laces through it lad and stop trying to be clever. You aren't.
Leicesterpool Posted 8 September 2013 Posted 8 September 2013 Did anyone read this? http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/news/premier-league-paper-round-wenger-set-extraordinary-15m-083648495--sow.html  Good going FA!Â
Corky Posted 8 September 2013 Posted 8 September 2013 I thought most England fans wanted an English manager? Â So, on that basis, they did the right thing.
purpleronnie Posted 8 September 2013 Posted 8 September 2013 I thought most England fans wanted an English manager? Â So, on that basis, they did the right thing. They do, until he fails.
Leicesterpool Posted 8 September 2013 Posted 8 September 2013 I thought most England fans wanted an English manager?  So, on that basis, they did the right thing. But why? is there any world class english manager?  I admit i was somewhat pleased that Hodgson got the job (at the time!), but i still felt we could have done better. But for me Roy got the job too late, he should have been the man to replace Sven!
purpleronnie Posted 8 September 2013 Posted 8 September 2013 I guess one of the reasons would be an english team should be managed by an englishman, more out of fairness than anything else.
Corky Posted 8 September 2013 Posted 8 September 2013 But why? is there any world class english manager?  I admit i was somewhat pleased that Hodgson got the job (at the time!), but i still felt we could have done better.  There are no world class English managers, but during and after Capello's reign, fans and ex-players said that we should forget foreign managers and stick with our own.  And the FA said the same. I don't agree but if that's what they want then good luck in getting a top manager.

And the FA said the same. I don't agree but if that's what they want then good luck in getting a top manager. Capello didn't really fail, though i've got to admit a few of his decisions in the world cup 2010 was weird but i do believe he was building a strong team ahead of the euro's and i do honestly believe we could have won it under him. But anyway i hate the idea when they say he must be english! look people have got to face facts, there isn't a single good english manager capable of winning us the world cup. Personally i don't care what nationality they are as long as they can push england forward. Lets have an either a Jurgen Klopp or Klinsmann manage england.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 8 September 2013 Posted 8 September 2013 I'd much prefer an English manager every single day. If we want to do better internationally we need better players and bit of luck before a different manager. I believe the national team should not only strive to be successful but also showcase the best of English football, although I admit that isn't very much at the moment
Leicesterpool Posted 8 September 2013 Posted 8 September 2013 Isn't this a tad betterhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73eB-aAo8Eg
Leicesterpool Posted 9 September 2013 Posted 9 September 2013 Just imagine if Leicester fans were given the duty to support england away from home, blimey we'd show the home team an atmosphere!Â
