Charnwood Norris Posted 3 September 2013 Posted 3 September 2013 I think 4-0 to England against Moldova and 1-1 in Kiev. Hart Walker, Jagielka, Cahill, Baines Walcott, Gerrard© Carrick, Townsend Lambert, Sturridge (if fit)
Dan Posted 3 September 2013 Posted 3 September 2013 Will beat Moldova 3-0 and then draw 1-1 at Ukraine as per every time we play a semi-decent side, going 1 up (as usual) and sitting back (as usual) before caving in to the pressure we allow them to put us under. It'd be so refreshing to go to Ukraine and stick 3 past them, and we ARE capable.
Donut Posted 3 September 2013 Posted 3 September 2013 Easily beat Moldova to nil, whether that be 2,3,4 or more. Ukraine away is a tough game. Some very technically gifted players in their side and i was particularly impressed with Yarmolenko in the game at Wembley. We will probably be absorbing large spells of pressure at times, for the simple reason we have such technically poor players we cant keep the ball. a 1-1 draw that will do us no favours for me
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 4 September 2013 Posted 4 September 2013 I worry for us in Kiev. Konoplyanka tore us a ****ing new one at Wembley.
Fox92 Posted 4 September 2013 Posted 4 September 2013 Will beat Moldova 3-0 and then draw 1-1 at Ukraine as per every time we play a semi-decent side, going 1 up (as usual) and sitting back (as usual) before caving in to the pressure we allow them to put us under. indierich06 Posted 4 September 2013 Posted 4 September 2013 I predict two piss poor, uninspiring games during which I wonder why I've bothered tuning in to watch the mediocre millionaires of England stroll around the pitch for 90 minutes.
Xen Posted 4 September 2013 Posted 4 September 2013 3-1 against Moldova after a worrying start sees us 1-0 down early on. Think 1-1 vs Ukraine is likely, but got a feeling we'll sneak it 2-1. Again, conceding the first goal, and trailing for most of the match until one of the subs comes on and scores. Last 15 minutes we're buoyed by the goal and have complete control of the game trying to get a second, but frustratingly struggle to get through until the 86th minute.
Super_horns Posted 4 September 2013 Posted 4 September 2013 Win both and it will be we're going to win the World cuo.. Go with the 4 points from 6 in reality.
Dan Posted 4 September 2013 Posted 4 September 2013 Exactly this! Said this yesterday about drawing 1-1 with those tough sides. Called it against Poland & Montenegro. The saddest thing about Montenegro is we could've had it sewn up by half time. Why oh why we handed them the initiative I'll never know. Hodgson is a good organiser but he's so negative against even average-good sides that he'll never be the long term man.
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 4 September 2013 Posted 4 September 2013 Easily beat Moldova and struggle against Ukraine, even though we shouldn't. Think we'll win both game though.
Simmo86 Posted 4 September 2013 Posted 4 September 2013 We'll smash Moldova but I fear for us in the Ukraine. Draw at best
Simo86 Posted 5 September 2013 Posted 5 September 2013 Jagielka and Cahill are shit The alternatives are just as bad
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 5 September 2013 Posted 5 September 2013 Jagielka and Cahill are shit Well, they aren't.
Simo86 Posted 5 September 2013 Posted 5 September 2013 Sturridge is out of the Moldova game but should be fit for Ukraine
purpleronnie Posted 5 September 2013 Posted 5 September 2013 England 5-0 Moldova Ukraine 1-0 England I have to say I have the same bad vibes about the ukraine match.
Guest MattP Posted 5 September 2013 Posted 5 September 2013 I have to say I have the same bad vibes about the ukraine match. All the hallmarks of a tight game that ends by a goal to the home team for me.
purpleronnie Posted 5 September 2013 Posted 5 September 2013 However I should point out my record of predicting results is how can I put this?.............................shit.
Corky Posted 5 September 2013 Posted 5 September 2013 Even today Roy was talking about 10 points to qualify, getting a point in Ukraine. Why not talk about 12 points and winning every game? I do like the bloke but this attitude is so frustrating.
Fox92 Posted 5 September 2013 Posted 5 September 2013 I agree that his attitude is frustrating, but as Lineker said, he is negative.
Bert Posted 5 September 2013 Posted 5 September 2013 Even today Roy was talking about 10 points to qualify, getting a point in Ukraine. Why not talk about 12 points and winning every game? I do like the bloke but this attitude is so frustrating. Think he was more stating what he thinks will be enough to qualify. Of course he will want to win every game. Just seen tomorrows team and that should have enough to win in Ukraine as well. Would expect Sturridge will come in for Lambert but would rather he came in for Welbeck.
Dan Posted 6 September 2013 Posted 6 September 2013 He's still negative though. Playing for a point at sides like Poland & Montenegro isn't good enough. We were in control, especially at Montenegro, and we just allowed them back into it through our own negativity, we completely handed them the initiative, it was laughable to watch. The same will happen on Tuesday.
Ric Flair Posted 6 September 2013 Posted 6 September 2013 Take the 5/1 on us not to qualify, it's criminal odds.
