Get whichever most of your friends have, if you'll be using the console for online gaming which I'm going to assume you will. They're not both the same but i do agree in that if you want to play online with friends then go for Xbox. You should really focus on what type of games you like playing and look at what is coming out. Check both console exclusives and see which excites you the most. I have a PS4 and my brother has Xbox 1. Ive played both consoles and both are good. (PS4 is better though )

I have more friends on xbox but every time I think I will go for xbox,people tell me to get ps4. Is one better than the other? tbh I'd say PS4 since most of the developers are now using the PS4 as their main development platform. if you want a games console that plays games well and has a few media things then go for a PS4 is you want a games console that plays games ok...but has alot of media functions and all that stuff go for an Xbox 1

I bought a PS4 purely because the pad is a lot better to use than the current xbox one pad and the 1080p on more games sounded better. Sold it within 6 months and got an xbox because all my friends were on xbox. Those consoles are really only as good as the people you get to play with online. If you dont have online friends though, I suppose PS4 would be better.

Its one of them games though that i can see a few people getting bored of. I always enjoyed hunting the animals and trying different ways to take down an outpost but its not for everyone.

Manwell Pablo Posted 12 August 2015 Posted 12 August 2015 I've had a PS4 for nearly a year now, the best game I played on it was left for dead, a remastered version of a PS3 game. Not sure what else is really worth playing other than FIFA... That good you can't even get the name right Mike (The Last of Us)

The fanboys of each console will tell you their's is better but think about the games you want to play and make your decision based on that. No point having a PS4 if you want stuff like Halo, no point getting an Xbone if you want to play Tekken. So basically, get a PC.

Call of Duty is better on Xbox and seems to play a lot better, Fifa has Legends in Ultimate team and the fact that most of your mates have an Xbox makes sense. I have both consoles so my view is not from a fan boy

I've got a PS4 and I love it but if all your mates have Xboxes it'd be better to join them than get a PS4 that has marginally better specs where you won't be able to tell the difference unless you have both consoles running side by side.
Brenfox Posted 12 August 2015 Posted 12 August 2015 Ign usually have the latest big releases on both consoles & do s comparison. There is no difference in any of the videos I've seen. If you play online with your friends & they have an Xbox then it's a no brainer.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 I was going to get a PS4 since they announced them both but ended up getting the Xbox one, the controller played a part in my decision (far preferred the 360 controller of the Dual Shock, hate the thumbsticks on the Playstation) The deals on Gold are really good sometimes, and for multi-platform releases I don't think you're going to notice any difference unless you're watching side-by-side with a PS4. If most of your friends have the Xbox One, go with that.

In all fairness the difference is minimal. A console isn't going to share the same visual qualities as a high spec PC but it doesn't stop someone with console enjoying the game. Both games will look similar enough unless you put them side by side and analysed them.

Yeah true, i think thats why developers are using the PS4 as the main console to develop on. i completely forgot about MGS V was coming out in a couple of weeks, i thought it was middle of next month, hopefully MGS V might rekindle my gaming mojo, im looking forward to the Mad Max game to tbh
