Clubbing

I hate clubs now especially Republic, some of the clientele are just embarrassing.

Rutland and Derby is a decent boozer and has a roof terrace that would look out of place in Chelsea! Loads of good beers and no grey goose in sight

Taps is good for a quiet 1/2/3 if you don't fancy a big night, not the cheapest for a pint but its a great place to hang out with mates. Not having to go to the bar is a bonus. Although it can be dead on week nights.

Tend to go Belvoir street for a night i.e terrace, fat cats. Tho I don't really buy into republic being a rubbish club, like somebody mentioned its a great club if you know what to expect and dont take yourself too seriously i.e like the majority of billy big balls in there, you'll have a good night and drinks prices aren't particularly expensive either.

Rutland & Derby is somewhere I've been meaning to try. Any opinions on The Font? Heard very good things about that place too.

Might not be everyone's cup of tea but the Salmon near St.Mags bus station is a decent little pub too.

Went in the Salmon last week the celebrate my first official week in the new job and its not bad at all, like a busy village pub but in the city centre. Right opposite work as well so happy about that!

And if pulling 40 year olds is your thing then there's always Fanclub on Saturdays...

Had to laugh at this lol One of my mates (18) pulled a woman in there this summer... pictures circulated on facebook until the mother of one of our mates seen it through her facebook and recognised her 42 year old friend!! She then told him straight to his face the next time we were around my mates house, comedy gold lol

Rutland & Derby used to be genius until they ruined it. Just a generic, bland pub now.

I know you want to get a plug in at every opportunity for DAO/Homeless whatever but just read that back and see how ridiculous it looks in a "clubbing" thread".

Why don't you just let him be, Matt?

You have his username over your photo in association with a killer of children, a signature that quotes somebody saying he no longer makes sense and you have a hard on for giving him grief in every section of the forum he posts in, attempting to make him look like a dick.......

Actually it did cross my mind I shouldn't have posted so much information. I was only replying to DNO are looking for a house 'joke'

Edited. Doesn't look so ridiculous now as I was only responding to a previous post.

Agree with that.

Fair enough you've got your view and I realise you're going to disagree with Ken a lot but don't set yourself out to attack an individual at every opportunity. It's not the right way to go about discussing things.

Seems people have used the phrase "chip on your shoulder" a lot recently, there's really no-one on this forum who those words apply to more I'm afraid.

I think that might be a good idea Nick.

I absolutely hate clubs, i'm a pub drinker with the occasional bar gig. I also like to get my business done early, i.e you'll often find me having my first ale at the weekend well before midday and therefore i'm absolutely arseholed by the afternoon and in bed with chunder in my shoes by the time most people are stepping it up a level on a night out. London is far too poncy as well in regard to clubs, there's a few indie clubs i'll go in when my mates come down but again i've usually got curry in my pockets and my widgey hanging out my flies that i'll be escorted out within seconds. I'm also very offensive towards women so the pub arena is perfect for me.
