Think what you want

Correct. But Pearson knows this, and as a result has signed all the players he wants so that if we have a transfer ban next season, it won't be a problem.

Exactly what he said. Also he expected Pearson gone in the summer but they're now fully behind him, fair play to the bloke he was very honest and open.

Yes Andrew Neville will discuss the financial aspects of the club with anyone..............yawn jog on what a load of tosh.

Actually it wasn't just anyone he was telling, I just managed to butt in with a few questions. Doesn't matter to me whether you believe it or not. Susan Whelan was a lot less talkative!

Morgan, Kasper and Nugent will not be going anywhere in January

Correct.

They will make more money going on a free in the summer.

But this gets even better SW and AN telling the world we are fvcked.

Thinking both will be out of work after Top n Co see this.

Holding a bussiness meeting in public lol lol sorry op but imho this is bollox lol lol

Inside info mate! and in Jan i will bring you back to this.

Can we bring you back to this if he doesn't go in Jan?

While I'm not doubting your paternal claims on me, it would put you in your mid 60's

and judging by your childlike spelling and grammar I think it is unlikely.

Apologies if already mentioned, but don't you get a fine , which is a percentage of the 'debt' or how far over you are on ffp.

This fine is then split between the other teams in your league!?

If a Championship club breaches the Football League FFP Rules and is promoted to the Premier League, that club will be required to pay a ‘Fair Play Tax’, which ranges from 1% of the excess between £1 and £100,000, up to 100% of any excess over £10,000,000. This can have a very profound effect on the club, as is indicated below. Any ‘Fair Play Tax’ paid by promoted clubs will be redistributed to those clubs in the Championship who have complied with the Football League FFP Rules.

So if you don't conform to FFP and are in debt the football league will hit you with a fine.

Mmmm that's really going to help a club get out of debt.

Only thing FFP was brought in for was to make a bigger gap between the prem and the rest of the leagues.

I can understand them needing to do something to prevent another Pompey happening etc but think they've gone about it the wrong way. It gives a huge advantage to the three teams that came down which means other teams either need to over spend to compete with them or just let them run away with the league and except never getting promoted.

As for big Wes going in Jan. don't make me laugh. We would have let him go in the summer if that was the case for more money then he will be worth in Jan, plus Pearson wouldn't be playing him now if he was off.

If we're near the top two come Jan none off our better players will be off, it wouldn't make sense risking promotion just to make a few quid instead of loosing them on a free in the summer.

Plus if we got promoted I'm sure they would sign new deals.

As for AN speaking about the clubs finances to a random fan lol. I'm sure he would................NOT.

Think I'll phone Man city up tommorow and ask how much the tea lady is on I'm sure they will just come out with it about there finances.

If AN did say it he might aswell told every other club that were not meeting FFP so of we were selling our better players in Jan then they can get them on the cheep as we just need to of load etc or tells them just wait till the end of the season and get them free of us and then rub there hands together when we get fined and that gets split between all the other clubs. So basically we pay clubs to take our players.

Sorry for the rant. Just pee's me of seeing crap post like this. They can't moan about how bad we're doing as we've had such a great start so have to come up with other crap to go on about.

If Wasilewski has been brought in to replace Wes - why only a one year contract?

Posted

if this is true, which I doubt, given the fact Andrew Neville negotiated almost every contract currently running he should be out himself for being useless

People are assuming Tubes met him as a fan and seem to think it was a natter down the pub or he stopped him in Primark or something.

If he is to be believed, and Susan Whelan was there then I dont imagine them to be having a knees up together so im going to assume it was in some sort of professional capacity.

Sounds like bullshit to me. The financial year is almost over by January so any damage will already have been done, if Wes needed to be sold then we wouldn't have turned down multiple bids by the likes of Forest.

Didn't Pearson say in an after match interview that we were 'almost there' in regards to FFP?

He seemed very happy and relaxed in his post-match interview on Saturday, almost self-congratulatory on a job well done.

Not consistent with a manager who knows a problem is looming on the horizon, surely?

This whole financial fair play is a mess, my gut instinct tells me Tubes is just a normal person who has spoken to Andrew Neville rather than an attention seeking fantasist, however still makes no sense why we would try and meet it in January and then spend on players anyway because we will get an embargo. To be honest I don't even think the directors at the clubs know what to expect would be gutting if we were promoted and faced a transfer embargo after all we haven't acted irresponsibly against FFP the rules were brought in after these big contracts were signed.

Andrew Neville has ran his mouth off when boozed on a couple of occasions, I have this on good authority. He was telling all and sundry that Pearson was gone and Lennon would be coming in after we got beat by Barnsley in April.

Posted

Wouldn't buy into this at all. If we are not a million miles away from meeting FFP then I'm sure they would just offload a few fringe players on big money like danns and gally who can't be on much less than Wes. Also as captain it take a mega bid to persuade NP to sell him. Besides some clubs don't seem FFP as financial problem. Forest and QPR don't seem to bothered to name a few, and there's no way our wage bill is bigger than QPR's and we have spent less than half as much as forest.

So he Is not to believed then and one way or another this thread is bullshit.

You have to remember that Andrew Neville role is now demoted he isn't the DOF because quite frankly he utter ballsed up on that front with his negotiating etc, so I would take what he says with a pinch of salt.

This.
