I would be surprised if many clubs within the top two leagues around Europe actually make it... I can see just a fine because this is the first year it has been in place... So there may be some leniency at first...

Not me but i know key players will be off in jan to compete with ffp! Morgan and kasper are to expensive! They have been offered new deals but wont exepet them so therefore will be sold for any price so we can at least make abit so they dont go for free in the summer!

I don't see Morgan being sold not in January, we turn down several bids already...

This is a reasonable question, which is ridiculous when you consider the 'stated aim' of FFP is to stop clubs from thinking that way and getting themselves in trouble.

Am I right in thinking the transfer embargo lasts until we can demonstrate we've got back within the limits? So theoretically when a few big contracts are up at the end of the season we could be back within the limits pretty quickly anyway

This is exactly how I've always felt about it. It's not achieving it's main aim but is just making it more difficult for certain clubs and easier for others.

And how is fining clubs going to stop them going out of business? It's all bollocks.

Inside info mate! and in Jan i will bring you back to this.

Touchy.

The same Morgan who publicly declared willingness to sign a new contract a week or two ago?  It wouldn't be the first time a footballer's come up with meaningless babble for the journos, but I find it hard to take you seriously when you chuck an exclamation point at the end of every sentence and can't even get basic grammar and spelling right.

I think this is only a English Football League thing. The European one affecting the big teams is a different thing altogether.

I've heard rumblings from a few within the club that Wes is off but I don't believe it for 2 reasons. 1) Nigel will blow a gasket as he is adamant he won't let him go and Wes was the main reason him and Robinson had a bust up in the summer and 2) Wasyl would have replaced Wes already if Nigel was resigned to losing him in January.

What a convincing comeback.

What doesn't make much sense about Wasyl has been brought in for FFP for Morgan to go is now for half of the season we would now be paying a wage to both of them, so we are currently spending even more on wages not reducing them

But if Morgan was to go then his transfer fee will cover the wages from these 3 months, and leave us with some extra.

I doubt the validity of the OP. Would Andrew Neville really just give out info like that to any old fan?

I'm not sure it's the sort of thing I'd want out in the open if I was in his position.

True however if we are really that desperate to make a saving on Morgan then personally I think we shouldn't have bought in 4 new players especially if they will be surplus to requirement for half the season

Don't worry the profits from fox & crop will save us

We might not make any money from fox and crop, but I'd assume that it is set up as a separate company and may have paid a lot of money to use the Leicester city badge and players likenesses. If it makes a profit great, but unlikely, but if it has injected a few hundred thousand into the clubs accounts then it might get us closer to ffp. Just speculating here.

Do non footballing staff come into ffp? Maybe they move a large quantity over to this venture to soften the bill a little.

Because of FFP its unlikely anyone will buy Wes in January. Wasting money on a fee for a player who can leave for free in the summer would be terrible business especially the position he plays in.

Only the top 6 of the championship would be interested and they would not be looking to disrupt their back line at that stage of the season.

It just wont happen.

Some bullshit on here, if we are not in line with FFP in January then we weren't in the summer, why would Nigel suddenly sell all of the players in January when he could have done it in the previous window?

Some of you really are "hit the red button" types aren't you? We will be fine as will every other team in the division, Andrew Neville is a willy puller, always has been. We will be fine, Wes will stay Nugent will hit double figures and we will finish second.

Seems to me if we are not in line  with FFP,and we are going to get a transfer embargo next season anyway, miles  well strengthen the team in January to compensate this while we can.
