Mr.X Posted 23 October 2013 Posted 23 October 2013 Mine was the song 'The Zoo' by the German band 'Scorpions https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JfyaRQIbOWM
DennisNedry Posted 23 October 2013 Posted 23 October 2013 It'd probably be an AC/DC or Crowded House (Australia) song. Or the last time that annoying Call me maybe by Carly Rae Jepson (Canada) was on the radio!
Bellend Sebastian Posted 23 October 2013 Posted 23 October 2013 One half of Jonny are Welsh, does this count? Edit: just remembered the other half are Scottish http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDeZPvn_EDA Going to see the mighty Euros Childs play solo in Nottingham next week
Rocket-Ron Posted 23 October 2013 Posted 23 October 2013 from the postlady yesterday Sweden's Klaus Johann Grobe http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mAywIAzKxVo And from Scotland Helicon http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBrMYrMVSUc
Alf Bentley Posted 23 October 2013 Posted 23 October 2013 Some will hate, but some might not... The inimitable Jacques Brel (Belgium): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=za_6A0XnMyw
StanSP Posted 23 October 2013 Posted 23 October 2013 Does Wales count? If so, it was Kids in Glass Houses - Black Cloud off their new album. If not, Ludovico Einaudi's I Giorni.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 23 October 2013 Posted 23 October 2013 Was actually the last song I listened to from anywhere.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 23 October 2013 Posted 23 October 2013 Just realised that technically the above isn't a "song", only listened to 16 Horsepower and Ty Segall this morning (both American) so looking back on my playlist from last night's show I have... The two ladies are not English, (Scottish and Bulgarian) The last completely non-English/US would be this Jamaican effort.
21st Century Fox Posted 23 October 2013 Posted 23 October 2013 I was listening to a bit of Breakbot (French) on the train last night.
ScouseFox Posted 23 October 2013 Posted 23 October 2013 A bit of Phoenix (Frenchies) on the train home from work. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BJDNw7o6so&list=RD02pe4gQTABqNA
separator Posted 23 October 2013 Posted 23 October 2013 How about a bit of mid 90's Belgian indie rock. dEUS' Worst Case Scenario album is very good actually. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3r7Oo0Fs-8
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 23 October 2013 Posted 23 October 2013 Half the bands i listen to are from Australia anyway. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_EjSuYWzxA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RCQV7FYlwlE
Lobsterboyuk Posted 24 October 2013 Posted 24 October 2013 I thought somebody might've said Sigur Ros by now, oh well, just me then...

MrsJohnMurphy Posted 24 October 2013 Posted 24 October 2013 This thread would be much more interesting if it was non-english language only.
MC Prussian Posted 25 October 2013 Posted 25 October 2013 Pretty easy task for me, at least half of the music I listen to is from Canadian artists. Take Karkwa, for example.
Jay Posted 25 October 2013 Posted 25 October 2013 I'm currently listening to the new Future of The Left album and as they are from Wales and it's awesome I think they count
Finnegan Posted 25 October 2013 Posted 25 October 2013 I'm currently listening to the new Future of The Left album and as they are from Wales and it's awesome I think they count SHE TOOOOORE OFF HER T-SHIIIIIRT! I DIDN'T KNOW! I WANTED TO! I DIDN'T KNOW I WANTED TO UNTIL I DID!
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 25 October 2013 Posted 25 October 2013 Seeing out the Angel by Simple Minds off one of my favourite albums.. 'Sons and Fascination',but as far as not Britain is concerned then it's the amazing Nitin Sawhney 'Tides'
Captain... Posted 29 October 2013 Posted 29 October 2013 Probably something by Vetusta Morla, or Love of Lesbian, 2 of my favourite Spanish bands. I think a more valid question is what was the last song you listened to that wasn't in English, make it this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YaDiuHlHPMg This is probably their most accessible song and I don't think you need to understand Spanish to enjoy it.
Renart Posted 29 October 2013 Posted 29 October 2013 Some will hate, but some might not... The inimitable Jacques Brel (Belgium): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=za_6A0XnMyw You beat me to it (by 6 days)! But I had this one ready to go when I saw your post.
