Unabomber Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 But I can't not like Arsenal Ok. You can not like Arsenal sure, my point earlier was that in every single game in every competition you celebrate like a looney when Arsenal go and concede and it gets tedious.
Corky Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 Details? Just complained about everything to do with Arsenal- decisions, luck, players going over, dives. Basically Matt with a Yorkshire accent
Webbo Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 Ramsey was the best man on the pitch by a mile. glad arsenal won but I wish Fryatt had scored.
Jimothy Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 But I can't not like Arsenal Ok. What Unabomber said. Plus you don't dislike Arsenal, you hate them. I dislike Man Utd and Spurs, and I'm pleased when they fail, but your reaction to Arsenal failing is pure unadulterated joy. It's just weird. Lots of posters including myself have mentioned it to you over the years on here, it's not that you can't dislike a team, dislike whoever you want, we just find your pure hatred for Arsenal tedious and strange.
fazzyfox Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 I hope Podolski doesn't get a medal, I sweated more than him in the first half (but then to be fair he wasn't eating a tandoori chicken and chilli beef pizza).
Matt Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 You can not like Arsenal sure, my point earlier was that in every single game in every competition you celebrate like a looney when Arsenal go and concede and it gets tedious. And I also praised Arsenal's 1st goal and have just congratulated them so I do give some kind of balance, I do praise from time to time even if I don't like them with a passion. Of course, that went unnoticed.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 This could move arsenal forward, couple of class signings and keeping players fit next season they could mount a challenge in both europe and the league... Players need to taste that winning mentality...
Tielemans63 Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 Shame, would have been nice for an English manager to actually win the English cup but you can't deny Arsenal deserved it. Gutted for Hull, their boys gave it everything.
ScouseFox Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 This could move arsenal forward, couple of class signings and keeping players fit next season they could mount a challenge in both europe and the league... Players need to taste that winning mentality... they say that about arsenal most years tbf
Jimothy Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 they say that about arsenal most years tbf How can they say that most years? They haven't won anything for nearly a decade.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 You shouldn't whinge Bruce, arsenal could and probably should have had four penalties... just a poor ref for both sides...
ScouseFox Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 How can they say that most years? They haven't won anything for nearly a decade. well yeah not the last bit obviously, but every year they get 4th they say "wow that is important now they've got 4th they can sign 2 or 3 TOP quality players and then they can challenge for the titles". they never do unfortunately.
Fox92 Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 Hull should be proud. Of course they'll be disappointed losing a final, even more so after being two up, but they've done very well to get to the FA Cup final - especially straight after winning promotion - and I'd be pleased if we replicate them next season. On the field of course. But pleased for Wenger, and I wanted him to win it more than anything else. Took a lot of criticism over those nine years but he's still the best manager of my time because he's built up sides with great, great players without paying ridiculous prices like Manchester United, Chelsea and more recently Manchester City.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 well yeah not the last bit obviously, but every year they get 4th they say "wow that is important now they've got 4th they can sign 2 or 3 TOP quality players and then they can challenge for the titles". they never do unfortunately. Probably true, it is rare Wenger splashes on known quality but he should this summer. They need to
Jimothy Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 He has money now the stadium is paid up. He splashed out on Ozil last year, who I think now he has a season under his belt will really push on now, and I think he'll make a couple of big signings next season. Can see a big name striker coming in, and a defensive midfielder.
LanguedocFox Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 I only saw the second half of extra-time - incredible, actually, because I tuned it just in time to see Ramsey's winner. Hull came very close to getting an equaliser on a couple of occasions, and I wonder how Arsenal would have coped with penalties. Next season is going to be interesting for both of these clubs. With the distraction of Europe, I reckon Hull will struggle: they finished 16th this season, and I just don't think that Bruce is a good enough manager to get them out of that hole. Wenger seems more and more disinterested as time goes by. You can't blame him: at his age and on his money, he must think "WTF am I going to do now? I've done everything, apart from winning the Champions League. And can I really be ar$ed with the effort of winning that?"
The Horse's Mouth Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 thank **** they've won something, I don't think i could handle another year of Arsenal trophy jokes.
Tielemans63 Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 Bet The Special One is feeling a bit of a twat right now.

EnglishOxide Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 This could move arsenal forward, couple of class signings and keeping players fit next season they could mount a challenge in both europe and the league... Players need to taste that winning mentality... Keeping their players fit for a season is the answer. Got the worse injury record of the top 4 for years. If Walcott, AOC, Ozil and Ramsey hadnt been out for long spells theyd have won a few big games and be much closer in the league.

I'm really hoping Walcott doesn't turn into another Owen, when match fit he is one of the best in the league. But it seems everytime he reaches match fitness and scoring he gets badly injured... Ramsey is another one who seems to get injured a lot...
Kitchandro Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 I'm very pleased Hull didn't win it, I'm all for different teams winning the cup, and that's what's happened, Arsenal have won bugger all for a decade if some people had forgot. But we can't have clubs like Hull winning it, they're so tinpot - mauled by the tigers, fvcking face paints, trying to create a rivalry with us over Pearson etc. I don't want Leicester rejects winning it with a far shitter club either. The best team won but neither of them are particularly good sides.
Matt Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 Wonder how many Arsenal fans will change their opinion on Wenger now, pretty much every Arsenal fan I know have said in the last year or 2 enough is enough with Wenger. That isn't my opinion, that is what I have found to be the Arsenal fans I know opinions, this is my with my Arsenal hatred hat off (As much as I can), this is just a general comment, opinion that I have found people I know to have. And I realise you could ask the same question of our fans of whom were calling for Pearson to go last year.
