AnotherShitSeason Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Yes I can see what the table looks like...before you little bitches pipe up. And NO I'm not just talking about just the past two games. Ditto the above. I'm taking about the season so far, through my own eyes, traveling home & away. Do we look like a promotion winning side?? With the exception of a few small improvements over last season, the answer is a fat firm AnotherShitSeason NO. Major concerns all over the park for this cat.
MC Prussian Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Funny how you make this post just as we've slipped to third place, fallen from an automatic promotion place for the first time in weeks. Coincidence? I don't think so.
StanSP Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 The whole season? 19 games. 38 points. 2 points per game. Promotion form. So YES. (simplistic view, I know. Predictable post from you, you know).
foxfanazer Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 In the 5 losses, no we don't. In the games we have won I think we've looked superb. Not the answer you probably wanted but I'm sure you can respect it as an opinion
MooseBreath Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 We're as close as we've been for a long time, but for me it's a no. I think we do have the players, and the manager is nearly good enough, but Pearson's inability to instill enough confidence to prevent us from falling apart whenever we get into a good league position and his regular infuriatingly incompetent team selections and tactics are why we won't be going up this season, and why he won't be here next.
Guest Bilo Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 I welcome this post if it's as accurate as the relegation one.
Brooksy Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 You wouldn't post this after a win would you? Be honest.
Jon25747 Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Today we were poor and didn't look like a promotion contenders apart from about 10 minutes. However, we have won more games than anyone else this season and I have been impressed with most of the performances. So, so far yes I do think we are promotion contenders but after today we need a kick up the a**e after today.

Corky Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Well, we certainly look better than 21 teams right now. We'll have a very good idea in two weeks time.
Happy Fox Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Yes we do, need to strengthen in January though, if we want to have a chance of winning the league though I would take 2nd place, and think we are certainly capable of it.
Fox92 Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Yes... Only the odd game we have looked poor (Doncaster, today).
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 We certainly look better than the 21 teams below us, and would any of us swap any of Burnley's players for our own except for a striker maybe? You may not think we look like promotion contenders, but I think we look a damn better prospect than Burnley, Derby, Forest, Reading, Watford, Blackpool and Wigan with the players and points we have. Only QPR have the quality that means they should go up, for everyone else it's fair game and I think we have the best chance of winning it atm.
AnotherShitSeason Posted 7 December 2013 Author Posted 7 December 2013 You wouldn't post this after a win would you? Be honest. Yes. Yes I would. It's been my honest opinion during most of the current season. We'll scrape the play-off's if we're lucky (to add to the torture) then we'll play a team like today (maybe not Brighton - but someone LIKE Brighton). We'll PLAY like today. We'll lose. We won't go up. Then everyone will go on holiday. I will be there to support the team every step of the way, but these are my predictions after scrutinising all aspects of our game, our squad & our tactics at the half way stage. I stand by these words. I am very happy to be proven wrong. But I won't be.

To be honest, what you have said there is a pretty likely scenario considering we are a good team and therefore likely to be around the playoffs and the fact that the playoffs are a lottery and we are therefore more likely to miss out than go up. So all in all, hardly insightful after your 'scrutinising'.
Harry - LCFC Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Love how people can speak with such certainty about their predictions. As if they have some prior knowledge that others don't.
AnotherShitSeason Posted 7 December 2013 Author Posted 7 December 2013 Are we 40/1 for relegation again? No. Average price 1000/1 via current markets. We won't be relegated though. As I've stated.

Donut Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 No. Average price 1000/1 via current markets. We won't be relegated though. As I've stated. A serious answer to a tongue in cheek question
