pazzerfox Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 No but Derby do. My cousin went today and said Derby look a far better side under McClaren...Apparently they were like Barcelona today!!haha
MC Prussian Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 You're surprised that people are offering their opinions in a thread asking people to offer their opinions? I'm surprised some people already know how the season's going to pan out after only 19 games played.
Bert Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Overall and so far, yes. Based on the past two games, no. Depends how you want to look at it
MooseBreath Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 I'm surprised some people already know how the season's going to pan out after only 19 games played. It's obviously only an opinion though. In a thread asking for people's opinions you don't need to continuously remind everyone that you're giving your opinion. Otherwise you must absolutely hate the scoreline prediction threads where everyone just writes a score down as if they've seen into the future
Harry - LCFC Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 You're surprised that people are offering their opinions in a thread asking people to offer their opinions? No that's not what I said. I find it a bit silly how people pass off their opinions as almost factual.
AnotherShitSeason Posted 7 December 2013 Author Posted 7 December 2013 Then why bother posting on here in the first place when you're that infallible? Hmmm... A) Because you love it. B) Because It's almost Christmas.

BrummieFOX Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Yes we look like a promotion winning side. Taking into account our points total and previous promotion winning sides, it's pretty much a fact that we do.
sylofox Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 A little hard to say atm. our general for yes. But the fact we have played yes away three botom three sides at the time and picked nothing up makes me wonder. Charlton Wednesday and yes the freak goal at Donny. They are 3 games forget the start of the season but when we met them should have got at least a point. Yes we praps had games we picked up point even all 3 when we should not have. But being serrious they are 3 games we should have got at least a point if we are going to make it this year. But other than the freak goal at donny we should have at least 2 more points if not more. We don't score many but the problem is we conceed 1.3 goals a game before the weds game. Where does Nige look to put it right sure up the back line or go for a striker and winger to get us converting more.
Monsell1976 Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Consistency is the key to getting out of this league, so early season we have been consistent, so the answer so far is yes. But then the next major question is can we be consistent throughout the season, and perform like a side that deserves promotion, for me and what I have seen over the last couple of years, I would say no. It's all down to wether the squad is good enough, big enough, and wether the management can put out a side that handle the pressure, and perform. I cannot work out if we have over performed at the start of the season, and now we are seeing the real leicester. I.e can beat anyone on their day, but not consistent, or we have really progressed and will put these shit performances to bed, and bounce back into a run of form.
mackiepas Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Come on seriously, some of the football we've played this season has been outstanding. Quit being a baby and throwing your toys out of your pram cuz we lost a few..
Bryn Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Funny how you've scarcely said a ****ing word since August and now you're here being a ****ing moron. Do one pissflaps.
65RosesFox Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 We're 19 games in, the table doesn't lie. You can't say we don't deserve to be third. We've consistently been within reach of the automatic promotion places throughout the season. So out of curiosity, even though you have not seen other teams play, who to you are promotion winning sides this season? And if this has been your opinion throughout the season, why wait until two defeats to post this thread and not after the ipswich or millwall win?
sylofox Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Come on seriously, some of the football we've played this season has been outstanding. Quit being a baby and throwing your toys out of your pram cuz we lost a few.. Today mid table away ok. As I said above Charlton Wednesday and Donny yes one freak goal. All 3 away but all bottom 3 we should have got something from at least 2 if not all 3. No not a panic mearchant think we are doing ok. But come the end of the season results against teams in the bottom 3 will count. We are making this harder than it is with the top 2 looming.
Strokes Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 We have suffered with injuries to the back four this season and it doesn't look as solid/settled as it did, the next couple of games will be a big indicator to whether the player have the mental strength to get us over the line.
nickelbyfox Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Just need to step up to the plate now, and what better games than Burnley, QPR, Reading! hope this is a minor 2-game horror blip, as we have looked awful
kingfox Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Around this time last season, we were in the same boat, fans were positive, we looked good, but then the wheels came off. Will the same happen again, it wouldn't surprise me if it does. What has actually changed this season, from our perspective, we are in a slightly better place points wise but that's about it. The team has remained the same, Miquel & Hammond don't even play week in week out, and less said about Bakayogo. We were in the same predicament this time last season, and the buzz and excitement of this forum, quickly turned sour. Do we look like a promotion side, this time last season, like now people were saying yes, so there's really no point giving an answer until February time from my point of view.

I agree it's too early to say what we will do. Been a mixture of quality and poor performances so far, thankfully more good than bad. This next six weeks wilk give us a good indication of our chances
Jakemoore Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 I think we doubt ourselves as we've come to expect failure but as a neutral looking in I think you'd say yes!
Kitchandro Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 I think so far we have been as good as anyone else. And some scorelines have flattered the opposition in our home games,a few could have been 6-0. I think we have every chance if Nigel learns from hiss mistakes and goes back to picking our best team. Of course last season I thought we looked good enough but we went to pot completely.

Charlton, we would of took a point if it wasnt for the worse refereeing display ive ever seen. Donny would of took a point if it wasnt for a freak mistake Shef Weds would of probablly won if dave jones was still there Brighton, was never gonna get anything from this fixture unless we parked the bus and went for the scrappy away 0-1 like so many teams have done to us in the past. Burnley lost to Huddersfeld last weekend QPR lost to Doncaster So whats your point?
Soup Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 I've always thought that if were in a couple of points of the leaders then of course it could happen.Continue to play like this a we will drift again. The last two performances remind me of last seasons run in which isn't good.
formidable1 Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 unless some of the mind boggling decisions by NP don't get rectified, then no. His tinkering is causing me concern, particularly in defence. The Nugent issue has been covered before, so will not expand on that.
