foxfanazer Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Basically what the title says. Do you consider yourself to be a good person? I'm not talking about you have to be giving to charity or anything like that. Just mean do you have good morals and have empathy for people? Does everybody think that they are a good person? I know this is a bit of a random thread but I have been thinking about it recently due to a break up of a relationship where I behaved in a way that made me question myself.
foxfanazer Posted 9 December 2013 Author Posted 9 December 2013 Didn't do anything bad by the way just said a dew things I'm not proud of. Only said them to provoke a reaction but the moment I said what I said I regrettes it. Unfortunately it can't be taken back

Kitchandro Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Not for me to decide. Interesting - maybe the question should be who should decide whether you're a good person? Is it more important what people think of you or what you think of yourself?
MikeyT Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 I've done a couple of things I'm not proud of, but overall, yes I would say I'm a good person.
Fox92 Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 I'd like to think I am, yes... Been complimented many times, I still enjoy getting 'gentleman' comments. Had that many times from girls; I do hold doors for them etc. I've done a few stupid things (haven't we all) but I've always respected people if they respect me.
Finnegan Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 I still enjoy getting 'gentleman' comments. Had that many times from girls; I do hold doors for them etc. Yeah okay and how much fanny is that getting you?
Dan Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Interesting - maybe the question should be who should decide whether you're a good person? Is it more important what people think of you or what you think of yourself? There's no right or wrong answer there. Entirely personal preference.

From a female point of view, I think being 'gentlemanly' is really important. Not in a completely overt 'sucking up' kinda way, but just through thoughtful/respectful manners.
