Nick Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 I'm not sure. He managed to do little in the Prem and scored 15 goals in a Wolves side that yeah didn't have a good season but on paper should have really been comfortable. He'll also be majorly lacking in match fitness. Spend well in January and we'll finish somewhere up there. Spend like this and I just don't think it'll happen - we need somebody who can hit the ground running. Has SEB even been training with a club?
Dan Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 No I mean someone like Lloyd dyer someone who has pace to burn but on the right hand side I'd take that but not over another Knockaert. That lad's got the most natural ability at the club by a mile and arguably in the league.
RizLCFC Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 He'd be a brilliant signing for us, I'd love it if we sign him, so we probably won't!
Langston Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 If (big if) we can get him fit and firing then this would be absolutely marvellous business.
Lakestar Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 Well thats a few minutes ill never get back.... Stop bickering jeez! Personally would be happy with a deal until the end of the season. Always hated the thought of him playing against us for Wolves and providing he can prove his fitness (doesnt look too difficult considering GTF's physique) this would be good business. GTF or Schlupp aren't going to challenge Vardy, Nuge and Wood for a starting place so out of those 3 who can actually hold a ball up going forward? Nuge is terrible at it at the moment and everything seems to bounce off him. Combined with his eye for goal this has got to worth a short term deal surely.
Guest Col city fan Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 If we can afford him, I'd take him. However it'll take the lad a long time to get back to his best I'd imagine. This... A couple of seasons back I'd have taken SEB in a heartbeat. Now? I guess he'd be fighting for fitness?
KFS Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 Another Knockaert meaning someone who can play centrally or on the wing with gifted natural ability. Doesn't have to be French, doesn't have to come from Cambridge, doesn't have to had attended Cityfanlee's barmitzva- all I was saying was that I'd like us to sign SEB and a player with all of the above qualities This forum
maynefox Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 Regardless if true or not I think he would be a useful signing. Give him a contract at the end of the season, where Vardy and Nugent don't perform well a striker of his pace and claibre is different to Schlupp and Wood.
XLM Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 Honestly wouldn't do us any harm. When he's in shite teams he manages to get goals and I'd imagine he'd be very effective in a team doing well like ours. Moreover, Wasyl has proven that injuries mean nothing if players still have desire.
Bayfox Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 Oh dear don't we have blue tinted specs when it comes to other players. this guy had 1 good season about 3 years ago. He since got relegated twice and was let go by wolves. Due to injury and salary maybe. But released all the same. granted if he goes to qpr or burnley it will probably work out. However if he comes to us. He will suffer a setback. Just the way our luck goes.

Guest CityFan 06 Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 Would love him here at Leicester, a player who could score goals at this level and could also hold the ball up effectively. Yes Please.
Bayfox Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 14 goals last year in a side that went down. hume got 10 when we went down would you want him back? And he played right side a lot as well.
Happy Fox Posted 10 December 2013 Author Posted 10 December 2013 hume got 10 when we went down would you want him back? And he played right side a lot as well. Hume ever scored 20 plus goals at this level?
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 Sorry Bayfox but disagree completely. SEB is in a much different class to Hume and a different type of striker
foxfanazer Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 If we can get him on a good deal (for us) then happy enough with this. Don't think he's as good as some are making him out to be but he's another decent option
Dan Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 hume got 10 when we went down would you want him back? And he played right side a lot as well. Poor comparison as he's never scored a prolific amount at this level and it's still less goals. I never thought Hume was bad for us. Appreciate he looked better due to players around him but some of his goals were quality.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 Hume was quite good in shite City teams; whereas Gary McAllister was just phenomenal in abysmal City teams
AKCJ Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 Would be good at away games and defendingleads. However a winger should be our priority. Wish we'd have gone for Adomah or Kebe sooner.
MPH Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 I'd like this to happen but the reality is he'll be pretty much guaranteed first team footy at Burnley so he'll probably choose them...
kingfox Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 My comments got deleted for what? Fook All. This forum is so silly sometimes.
cityfanlee23 Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 I'd like this to happen but the reality is he'll be pretty much guaranteed first team footy at Burnley so he'll probably choose them... If he finds form, He will be guaranteed first team football here... His form goes a while back, So I hope if we do get him, Nige gets the best out of him, because his best is beyond what we have at present.
Happy Fox Posted 10 December 2013 Author Posted 10 December 2013 Leicester City are weighing up a move for former Wolves striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, Sky Sports understands. Ebanks-Blake is a free agent after leaving Wolves following the expiration of his contract at Molineux. The 27-year-old has been training at Wolves as part of his rehabilitation from a broken leg, which he sustained last April and he is now back to full fitness. A number of clubs have been linked with Ebanks-Blake and now Leicester are considering a move for 27-year-old to bolster their attacking options. Foxes boss Nigel Pearson is keen to add to his squad in January as he looks to maintain their push for promotion and with Ebanks-Blake being available on a free transfer he is an attractive option for Pearson. Burnley have also been credited with an interest in Ebanks-Blake with Clarets chief Sean Dyche keen to bring in some cover for Danny Ings and Sam Vokes.
Dan Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 Bloody hell it's on $ky's site?! Interesting. They do get a few wrong but they're more reliable than some randomer on Twitter.
