The only player we will get any money out of is Waghorn and that will hopefully be 500k to Millwall.

 

St Ledger, Danns, Gallagher and Whitbread we will accept £0 for. Hopefully Bolton, Preston and Derby take them on but no doubt we would have to pay them off a little.  

 

Saying that Whitbread doesn't even get games does he? So no doubt we will be stuck with him unless someone else wants him. Gallagher big wage will be too much for Preston to take on all of it so he will probably stay out on loan there for the season. Danns to Bolton we may have a chance with. Then hopefully someone will want hop along Sledge

need a winger and striker! When we're struggling to create we have hammond,king,taylor fletcher,logan etc! The bench is poor! Winger wise Cameron Stewart (free to talk to clubs in January)  or fisher on loan from Tottenham and striker wise John Guidetti on loan or sponsor the training ground and get Conner Wickham for £3-4m. Impressed me every time I've seen him and sunderland looking to cash in with teams like Burnley,Ipswich and wednesday looking to get his services.  Him and Wood would be impressive upfront!

I think he was just emphasizing that he thinks the bench is poor, not that there is creativity on it!

I think an alternative winger should be a huge priority, preferrably on loan. I'd love us to take on a really raw, exciting young winger who loves to run at people from one of the big clubs to bring on late in games when Dyer and Knockaert tire.

As I posted in another thread, Kevin Philips is being released in jan, would take him for the rest of the season, a real poacher and also someone our younger strikers can learn a lot off

Why do people keep posting about Kevin Phillips,he is totally past it,2years ago maybe but not know more.

I think we do need an additional striker with wood injured but can't see us getting any names mentioned so far, SEB has gone, wickham cant see being extended at Sheffield wed as he is guaranteed first team football, vydra is on a season long loan at west b. Think it will be a suprise loan ala Kanr. Difficult decision, actually think Fryatt would be great back up and could bag some goals in our current team and would be a low financial risk

I don't think we need anymore strikers, we need to be careful the squad is not disrupted. NP isn't going to play three up front and I can't see him dropping Nugent  full stop or Vardy if this form continues. Wood is a decent option from the bench whilst we also have a target man (GTF) and speed demon (Schlupp) when required tactically.

 

I can only see us signing a winger on loan to help Dyer and Knocky out who are currently having to bust their balls each and every game due to lack of competition.

 

Personally I'd like an intelligent tricky winger and realistically my choice would be a player in the Chris Burke mould.

Not claiming to be itk but I did hear that we are interested in a right sided winger/midfielder from Le Havre who is out of contract at the end of this season. Not 100% sure of the name but it might be Riyad Mahrez, French aged 22.

This guy looks exactly like Knockaert in style of play and physical features.

Whether you want any or not...Who do you think are realistic signings?

 

  • John Guidetti - With ManC current form he won't ever get into the first team
  • Almen Abdi - Watford are on the down
  • Nakhi Wells - Decent goalscorer
  • Sylvan EB - Powerhouse! Would he influence the team?
