Alf Bentley Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 My username on there is Caulky. youre on a roll On a roller, surely? we're on decorating puns , not gardeners puns  No point skirting around it or varnishing the truth, puns are like putty in Webbo's hands. Still, better gloss over it or we'll attract Matt to this thread, cutting and pasting links. Yeah, let's paper over it and cement our friendship. It's all just mortar off a duck's back to me....Oh dear, I'm stucco for something to say, now. **** off. Is there any call for such devastating rudeness? Why don't you put your dick in a horse's mouth and tell him it's a carrot? Hey! Why are all these people posting comments about Kevin Phillips in this painting and decorating thread?
Sharpe's Fox Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 People would moan he doesn't run around enough.
Fox92 Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 Knows where the goal is, scored goals throughout his career. I'd take him short term.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 Knows where the goal is, scored goals throughout his career. I'd take him short term. I know where the goal is aswell, sign me instead.
pazzerfox Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 Why does this have to have it's own thread. Can't it be put in the potential January transfers thread?
hairy Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 My username on there is Caulky. But they call you WateritdownWebbo
Webbo Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 But they call you WateritdownWebbo The technical term is "easing"
Bettsj2 Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 Rather eat a shit sandwich than sign Kevin Phillips.
foxesfan98 Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 Would like to see someone like Serge Gnabry here. A young wide player who won't get into their first team and has premier league experience.
Molson Canadian Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 Pablo Ibanez is still a free agent, another option at left back to see out the season http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pablo_Ibanez
Molson Canadian Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 Vincente Rodriguez is still a free agent, could give us more depth on the wing http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vicente_Rodriguez
lgfualol Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 I can't believe GTF is only 32, I thought he was around Phillips' age
dog_4 Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 need a winger and striker! When we're struggling to create we have hammond, king, taylor fletcher, logan etc! The bench is poor! Winger wise Cameron Stewart (free to talk to clubs in January) or fisher on loan from Tottenham and striker wise John Guidetti on loan or sponsor the training ground and get Conner Wickham for £3-4m. Impressed me every time I've seen him and sunderland looking to cash in with teams like Burnley,Ipswich and wednesday looking to get his services. Him and Wood would be impressive upfront!
TJB-fox Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 Why is gtf being seen as a shit striker? Hes not a striker he's an attacking midfielder( cam or rw) so stop expecting him to be prolific, that's not his job

Did you just describe a poor bench then say King?! :xmaslaugh: Brilliant
RizLCFC Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 Connor Wickham linked to Forest, his loan expires on 1 January I'd love it if we tried to sign him. They've also been linked with Shane Long but his wages we probably can't afford.

Devonfox1884 Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 Would like to see someone like Serge Gnabry here. A young wide player who won't get into their first team and has premier league experience. he has played and scored for Arsenal in the prem this season, and has also appeared in the champions league on two occasions... Would love it to happen, but 1. Arsenal won't let him go and 2. If they did let him go out on loan, he would never come here.
AKCJ Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 Adam le Fondre would be a very good signing and a statement of intent. In other news QPR are trying to sign Peter Crouch....for 5m!
Guest Col city fan Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 Connor Wickham linked to Forest, his loan expires on 1 January I'd love it if we tried to sign him. They've also been linked with Shane Long but his wages we probably can't afford. Shane Long would be great for us. The little Irishman would be the first striker I'd have shown excitement in signing for years at City. As you say, wages would be a big issue I suspect.
sylofox Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 Am thinking give up guessing. Lets wait and see who NFP wants in. Or if we really have money to spend FFP really is fvcking up the window. Praps instead of building up our hopes we should be happy with what we have. Get behind the lads instead of replacing them.
Stadt Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 James Vaughan? Would be a decent signing actually all comes to the stumbling block of FFP though
MrsJohnMurphy Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 James Vaughan? Can see this happening, but only in the summer if we get promotion, we couldn't afford him in Jan, he's really finding his feet at the minute at Huddersfield, after all NP did sign him before on loan.
