Blue Posted 2 January 2014 Posted 2 January 2014 Good point about the midfield, is Drinkwater off the transfer list now?
Blue Posted 2 January 2014 Posted 2 January 2014 It's originated from Football Rumours though, I don't know what their rules are on their forum, but we don't put up with it here. Why would we swap a striker who is capable of hitting good spells of form in this league for another midfielder? Plus the fact that you hardly see any swap deals taking place any more. Too much football manager for the rumour starter! Thanks for the heads up, I will slap my mate
KFS Posted 2 January 2014 Posted 2 January 2014 Good point about the midfield, is Drinkwater off the transfer list now? was he ever on it? Came from the guy who recently told us that we're facing a mass exodus this month with player walk-outs and a dysfunctional dressing room. All this aside, I'm glad transfer talk is back open- who needs to revise, eh?!

Blue Posted 2 January 2014 Posted 2 January 2014 Just hope the Kevin Phillips rumours are nicotine true!! ^ not
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 2 January 2014 Posted 2 January 2014 Would rather have Philips than fecking Doyle!
Blue Posted 2 January 2014 Posted 2 January 2014 Would rather have Philips than fecking Doyle! Wise words!
kingfox Posted 2 January 2014 Posted 2 January 2014 Well it's only the 2nd, and we've had three rumours today, all of which look utter bollocks.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 2 January 2014 Posted 2 January 2014 Ness was abit of an FM gem. In real life, he's not all that.
KFS Posted 2 January 2014 Posted 2 January 2014 Well it's only the 2nd, and we've had three rumours today, all of which look utter bollocks. What're you doing back so soon?
kingfox Posted 2 January 2014 Posted 2 January 2014 What're you doing back so soon? I returned yesterday. Now Dan is banned today, you can get banned tomorrow. Deal?
KFS Posted 2 January 2014 Posted 2 January 2014 I returned yesterday. Now Dan is banned today, you can get banned tomorrow. Deal? I haven't got it in me
kingfox Posted 2 January 2014 Posted 2 January 2014 I haven't got it in me Steve you're hair is shit.
Wilfshaw Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 If it ain't broke don't fix it! Has to be support/squad players to bolster the run in. Pay as you play K Philips might not be a bad shout as he won't rock the boat, he'll improve it. Otherwise, Colwyn Bay player coach - bring him back!
Onions Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 I don't mean to be 'that guy' but you have to expect nobody. Pearson didn't panic buy in the Summer, he took a lot of stick for not buying, and it worked out, so why would he rush into buying anyone now when we've beaten QPR, Reading and drew with Burnley, our league rivals? As well as that, we have how many players out of contract in the summer, waiting to find out what league we will be in next season, so why would we blow one, two or three million plus on players like Nahki Wells, when the situation will be the same, we won't know until later what league we are in. I've no issue whatever Pearson does, smartest move for me at the moment is Phillips pay as you play (but then do we need him? We have 5 strikers) maybe a LB on loan to cover if Miquel doesn't continue there, but all in all, why risk unbalancing a team which is at their peak, young players who will only improve.
cityfanlee23 Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Apparently we are looking at Oliver Norwood, Decent player always like the look of him since i first saw him a while back.. got called up for united in a champions league group stage. Seen him a few times for Huddersfield. Looks very capable. He played on the left side of midfield when i first saw him, then central the other twice I've seen him. Not sure we need him. Source is not guaranteed so treat it as a complete rumor. Edit: didn't realize its already been said, Probably my source read this forum
hornyhollthefox123 Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Norwood & James played together for years at Utd's academy in the same side. I know a couple of the boys from that Utd side well, and they used to say how good they were.. He looks a good little player, but would he play over the other 4 at the moment? Wouldn't have thought so..
deep blue Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 They'd have to agree a bid first! Maybe they have.
foxfanazer Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Le fondre and Mahrez would represent a great January of transfers. Get it done Nige!
TJB-fox Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 I seem to be the only person who doesn't want alf, he'll have to sit on the bench a lot id imagine so if he's kicking up a fuss about being benched at reading, he'd most probably do that here?
JJS84 Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Jamie Ness just signed for Leyton Orient, so that ones not happening.
Jace Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Wouldn't be surprised if Wood leaves in exchange for someone, good player but really shot himself in the foot when he decided to ignore Pearson and go on holiday without permission. Any other job or profession and he would be sacked
qwerty123 Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 John Guidetti to go out on loan - I'd like to see him but i don't think we'd be able to guarantee him a starting place
GingerrrFox Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 John Guidetti to go out on loan - I'd like to see him but i don't think we'd be able to guarantee him a starting place I would drop Nugent for Guidetti without a shadow of doubt.
