JJS84 Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Wigan are lining up a move to take Leicester City attacker Jeffrey Schlupp on loan for the rest of the season as Uwe Rosler looks to reshape his squad at the DW Stadium. Skysports. i know its not an in but it is news.
GingerrrFox Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Uwe loved Schlupp when he was on loan at Brentford. Wanted to sign him permanently.
GingerrrFox Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Nigel wants Cameron Stewart back. http://aggbot.com/Leicester-City-News/article/21617138
morris1234 Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 I would drop Nugent for Guidetti without a shadow of doubt. Why?
AKCJ Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Why? Because Guidetti knows how to score from open play.
MC Prussian Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Because Guidetti knows how to score from open play. But is he prolific enough from the penalty spot?
MGLCFC Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Based on what evidence - I can't remember the last time Guidetti played competitive football, let alone scored. If I'm wrong, I stand corrected.
dayday Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Based on what evidence - I can't remember the last time Guidetti played competitive football, let alone scored. If I'm wrong, I stand corrected. Linked with us 2years a go ,and as you have said never plays, looks like a Conrad Logan type of player, happy to earn his money doing f all
Stadt Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Guidetti got 20 goals in 23 games two seasons ago for Feyenoord.
MC Prussian Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Linked with us 2years a go ,and as you have said never plays, looks like a Conrad Logan type of player, happy to earn his money doing f all I'm amazed you can compare a reserve goalkeeper to a reserve striker.
dayday Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Guidetti got 20 goals in 23 games two seasons ago for Feyenoord. And has not played since, that would concern me.
MGLCFC Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Why do most Dutch n footballer play elsewhere in Europe? Because the league is similar to the Scottish Prem, with one or two decent teams. What has Guidetti done in English football that makes him so good? A poor loan spell at Burnley is all I can remember.
Stadt Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 And has not played since, that would concern me.But he's probably been training with Džeko, Negredo and Agüero everyday against Zabaleta, Kompany and Clichy etc... so I'd say he's fairly sharp.

dayday Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 I'm amazed you can compare a reserve goalkeeper to a reserve striker. Your right, which makes even more baffling as why he has not played.
MC Prussian Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Your right, which makes even more baffling as why he has not played. Maybe because he's got - Negredo - Dzeko - Agüero - Jovetic ahead of him in the pecking order?
MGLCFC Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Are you suggesting the Dutch league is a decent standard - I reckon our current team could make top 6.
Finnaldo Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Are you suggesting the Dutch league is a decent standard - I reckon our current team could make top 6. 20 in 23 is decent in any league.
KFS Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Stoke and West Ham are interested anyway aren't they?
dayday Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Maybe because he's got - Negredo - Dzeko - Agüero - Jovetic ahead of him in the pecking order? Ok lets put it another way he scored 20 goals in 23 games 2011/12 season, and has not played since, regardless of what players Man City have got,he has not kicked a ball in anger for a long time....that tells me something is not right, talk about a player not wanting to get on in his career, unless he has been injured i think it sounds like he is happy to pick up his wages for nothing.
GingerrrFox Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 As already said Guidetti scored 20 in 23 but also assisted 8 goals in that loan spell. Feynoord at the time were trying to buy him for +£10 million. He got that savage illness/injury in which he nearly lost complete function of his legs. He's been back training and playing for their development side and he's ready to go. Ibrahimovic said he is one of the best talents he has ever seen.
MGLCFC Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 I'm not disputing 20 in 23 isn't decent, but what's the standard of opposition - Vardy got 30+ for Fleetwood, but will do well to get half that this season. All I'm saying, is that he didn't do much at Burnley on loan, which is the standard he needs to be compared with.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Are you suggesting the Dutch league is a decent standard - I reckon our current team could make top 6.
AKCJ Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Are you suggesting the Dutch league is a decent standard - I reckon our current team could make top 6. So surely he'd be a good signing?
