Potential January signings

Seriously? Don't they maybe need to think about FFP, seeing as they have already spent at least 6 of the 8 allowed million, aren't 10 points clear of 3rd, and have a manager well-known for bottling it?

Maybe only on loan!  They will definitely sign someone pretty decent.  Billy Davies is currently playing Greg Halford up front to make a point that he has no fit strikers.

Please not Patrick Bamford. He went to my school and he's really no better than Waghorn.

Heaven forbid people develop in the period between schoolboy football to professional football, eh?

For all Knockaert's plus points his lack of pace means his workrate isn't great, despite his huffing, puffing making it look like he is & his passion of course which automatically gives him a +99 rating.

Unlike Dyer, Gradel's never was either

I think we'd see our fullbacks horribly exposed and a lot of goals shipped too

Gradel would be a potentially good asset in the squad though

Dyer has work rate? he never puts a tackle in he's just fast, Knocky wins the ball back at least 2 or 3 times a game

I think he'd fare better in the current set up we have as there is much more structure and steel to the team. We are much stronger defensively  and Pearson is expressing that by picking and playing genuine wide men and so it appears is after another...

But i Think the Gradel ship has sailed... It could be too that he burnt his bridges with Pearson...

I'll never understand why some fans liked him so much.

Good at Leeds but average at best for us.

To be fair to him, he was never really given a decent run in our team to prove himself.

He done well at Leeds, theres no denying that, but i`m not one for bringing past players back to the club.

I thought we maybe would get linked to kenwyne jones again as we were in the last window, what would peoples thoughts be if we went for him as he seems to be available as he is getting no game time at stoke?

He's really not all that, for a target man his scoring record is awful. I think we'd be better off just giving Wood a chance rather that putting barricades in the way

I thought Hull won't do business with Leic because of Pearson. I certainly don't think they would loan a player, maybe sell if it were to their advantage.

Actually think Fryatt would be an excellent loan move, fit and scoring goals already in the champ, what more do people want from a loanee, better than an unproven prem youngster ala Kane

To be honest I think the dust as settled between Pearson and Hull now

Chris Wood should be back by the end of the month at the latest, do we still need another striker after that? I'll be happy with just a winger coming in during this transfer window.

You try running like Dyer does for 90 mins and tell me that ain't work rate

We do need another striker if one of Vardy or Nugent get injured where are the goals coming from upfront for me Wood although clearly can score a goal has not looked the same since his injury.

According to a St Johnstone fan Steve May will join a championship club in January with many after him.

He's a highscoring and hard working striker. Nigel's type of player?

You heard it here first.

I hope this is a joke...Dyers work rate is one of his main attributes.

You have to remember the SPL is Lower end Championship/ League One standard.

Yet players like Nikica Jelavic, Charlie Adam, Chris Burke, Steven Fletcher and Tore Andre Flo among others, have all done alright in this Country.

Alloa were in Third Division and Hamilton in the First Division/Championship. However in any League getting 19 in 22, 25 in 33 and then 11 in 19 in consecutive seasons is no mean feat and very good, especially when he's moving up a league each time which could help him should he move here. According to Transfermarkt his contract runs out in a year and a half and puts him at a value of £225,000. Although we'd probably spend more that's an ideal buy in my mind when working with financial straints and, as most people seem to believe, when we need a new striker.

If you add on that offloading players like Waghorn for £500,000+ and possibly a couple others on frees/smaller fees, and maybe sign a singer like that Mahrez cheaply then we could end up with a net loss of around £200,000, which is extremely considering what we buy.

All speculation of course ;)

Cant see it myself, think we will go for someone with experience at this level if we get a striker in.

Would be the sort of gamble we previously gone for, Knockaert being the obvious example. I can't imagine him costing much so he fits that bill. His has successfully risen up the Scottish leagues which means that he may well come and quickly fit in. Over the last three season combined he has a goal every 1.4 games, his worst over these three seasons (this season, baring in mind it's half way through) with a goal every 1.7 goals after 19 games. Add to that the fact he's only 21 and he seems very much a Pearson player. We'll have to see what happens though. :D
