kingfox Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Are you suggesting the Dutch league is a decent standard - I reckon our current team could make top 6. I would take a handful of strikers from the Eredivisie. Some top talent in that League.
morris1234 Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 But having a striker with a good record in one season does not guarantee goals elsewhere? Is that not a fair point? Nugent has been our top scorer for past 2 years, in this league, for us and is out of contract soon. Replacing him with a player who clearly isn't pushing to play football, who did well in one season elsewhere, but didn't do as well for burnley, will surely p155 him off slightly? Stick to nuge thanks!
1972 Fox Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Wouldn't be surprised if Wood leaves in exchange for someone, good player but really shot himself in the foot when he decided to ignore Pearson and go on holiday without permission. Any other job or profession and he would be sacked When did he do that?
Stadt Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Guidetti got 1 in 5 games for Burnley, I don't think many players make an impact in 5 games and he's probably improved since then hence getting 20 in 23.
Soar Fox Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 I read somewhere that Guidetti was going to Malaga.
VLC86 Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 I read somewhere that Guidetti was going to Malaga. Just a stag do apparently, he's after a bit of poon!
The Horse's Mouth Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Wellens set to join QPR Good luck Richie I thought you were taking the piss
FoxyPalace.com Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 I thought you were taking the piss Good luck QPR
cjslcfc Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Can't believe Wellens is going to QPR. Can't think whats going through 'Arry's head?! He was a good player at his peak for us but now he's past that. Anyway, though QPR want a striker as we have about 4 and are getting Kevin Phillips?
SMX11 Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Wellens is a good pro but he is so over the hill, then again Harry tends to go for that.
Guest shearfox Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Wellens set to join QPR Good luck Richie Wtf... Harry has gone mad...
80footgiraffe Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Bakary Sako - Wolves Ross McCormack - Leeds Spend a few quid, but guaranteed quality
SMX11 Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Then again he is probably a better option than Karl Henry.
80footgiraffe Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Dack has had a blinder for The Gills tonight...
ScouseFox Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Anyone who wants to sign Sako is out of their mind if he is consistently as pathetically woeful as he has been against GILLINGHAM ffs tonight.
KFS Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Dack has had a blinder for The Gills tonight...I've seen him a couple of times, he'd be a lot better playing around good quality players.I sat behind Martin Allen whilst he screamed: "Dacky, play the long ball!!!" Aiming at a 5ft 9 striker
80footgiraffe Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Anyone who wants to sign Sako is out of their mind if he is consistently as pathetically woeful as he has been against GILLINGHAM ffs tonight. well, do you know that he's consistently woeful? Wolves fans rate him, as do quite a lot of league 1
dmayne7 Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 I've seen him a couple of times, he'd be a lot better playing around good quality players. I sat behind Martin Allen whilst he screamed: "Dacky, play the long ball!!!" Aiming at a 5ft 9 striker He's obviously a good player but is still yet to really cement a place in the Gills team. Its been a long time since I touted any Gills player's. Got a fair bit going with Matty Jarvis and Andrew Crofts back in the day .
ScouseFox Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 well, do you know that he's consistently woeful? Wolves fans rate him, as do quite a lot of league 1 I saw him play maybe 3 or 4 times last year and a couple this year and I've never seen what the fuss was about but was never put off by his performances, just assumed I was missing something. Tonight however reminded me of some of the bad, bad times we had with Momo Sylla or Josh Low on our wings. He was so, so bad. Definitely not worth breaking the bank and wages for.

Fair enough, the couple of times I saw him I didn't think he was that bad. Now you mention Sylla and Low though, it makes me shudder how similar he was tonight.
pazzerfox Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Dack has had a blinder for The Gills tonight... I wouldn't say he had a blinder. He had a few nice touches and looked as tough he could play a bit but didn't have a great deal of time to impose himself. That Akinfenwa is too big to play football.
GLC Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Adam Le Fondre would be a great signing for us, he's apparently looking to leave Reading as well!
Manc Fox Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Would take ALF or Becchio, think they could both do a job for us. The French/Algerian winger will be an unknown to most of the championship which could be a very good thing in the run in for us. Any or none? In NFP we trust!!
The Horse's Mouth Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 In relation to the Sako debate, I've always rated him during his St Etienne days. Must admit, haven't seen much of him at Wolves but he clearly has talent. I think the 7 mill asking price is ridiculous though.
