Out of his depth.

I'm genuinely shocked Spurs having invested all that money have made this decision.

When the players need a figurehead to respect, trust and look up to in the darker moments of the season they will have Sherwood. Do you think they will trust his judgement? Because I don't.

Sack a manager who led you to your best points total last season, and were just outside the top 4 this season, whod already won major trophies in another country and europe. Sell your best player, let the manager spend the money and rebuild.

Replace him with a complete management novice.

The mind boggles

Spending all the Bale money on £100m+ of new players and getting Sherwood to manage them, yikes.

Just like AVB then. Flopped at Chelsea and he flopped at Spurs. Bale got him out of the shit last season, and apart from a decent Europa League campaign they've been poor.

Personally I think his methods aren't suited to the prem.

Let's not forget he's spent a lot of money on players who haven't really set the world on fire so far this season.

Can't believe they didn't go for Hoddle, the suddenly reputable managerial genius.

I'm glad he's got the job, it's nice to see a top six club pick an englishman manager, I give him the best of luck, but I've got to say it's probably the wrong decision. Sherwood hasn't got any management experience and club like Spurs need somebody with experience and know how to deal with difficult situations. I think the reason Levy has chosen Sherwood is purely because he's a cheaper and after spending nearly £100million on new players i can imagine he doesn't want to quite fork out for another top class new boss. I won't be surprised though if there's a change in the summer though!

lol I was cracking up when Hoddle was favourite and I bet the bookies were aswell.

I heard AVB didn't even want to sign some of the players they spent the money on. Bit of a shambles down there at the mo. Sherwood might turn out alright, but he's in at the deep end.
