I think if we put Conrad Logan up front we'd score against Blackpool at the minute. It's pretty much a 3pt by.
Nick Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 So, Crystal Palace contract expired yesterday (Sunday) according to KP. He's talking to two clubs and close to an agreement with one and may get something signed Monday/Tuesday as he's not trained in over a week and doesn't want to be out of the loop any longer. Presumably it's us? Maybe we'll know later today if he buys anything from Morrisson's or parks badly in the Marriot.

Waghorn is dog shit though and will be leaving, Wood is picking up various injuries so that only leaves GTF and the very erratic Schlupp up front. I'd happily have Phillips around for his experience and composure. Plus, as a side that wins an astonishing amount of penalties if Nugent isn't on the pitch but KP is then it's a no brainer who should take it and who'd likely score.

Wood pulled out of the under 21's this afternoon. Might be injured again. Obviously I'd rather we sign a better striker than KP but Waghorn is horse muck and I've serious doubts over Schlupp up front.

At 40 I don't think it would be wise to be out of training for much longer than a few weeks.nif his contract did expire last week we're looking at today, Thursday or Friday for this deal or he will start to lose fitness. (Unless he is training with the club in which case this post is void)

Schlupp, GTF and wood have all looked ok coming off the bench recently. Although it might be silly to risk it so someone like Phillips would be worth a shout but I don't see why he would get in ahead of players we have, if we get injuries or players hit poor form then get him involved.
