Arry seems to think we may be signing....Kevin Phillips

Really couldn't care less about this now.

Phillips and Pearson have clearly spoken given what both of them have said so the opportunity's clearly there for him to come to Leicester if he wants. If he really wants to play for the club then it'd be done and dusted by now, if he doesn't then I'm sure we can find someone just as good if not better. It's not Pearson's style to sign someone who doesn't want to be here and this whole Midlands-only stuff stinks of convenience rather than ambition.

The issue of Phillips Palace contract only expiring last week has no bearing whatsoever. You're still allowed to talk to clubs in the last three months of your contract and the fact he was being let go by mutual consent means Palace probably gave him their blessing to find somewhere ages ago. The way Phillips has conducted himself throughout this whole episode leaves a bit to be desired, lots of talk but not a lot of actually doing.

I'd give him 48 hours: sign on or do one Phillips. Leicester City will kick on to bigger and better things either with or without you.

I wouldn't even give him that it is either sign today, or do one as far as I am concerned he is taking us for a ride.

He'd be an ok addition but he probably watched the Derby game and decided it's not worth signing for us as he won't get much game time up against Vardy and Nugent,

I wouldn't say no to bringing him in but when you've got a front pairing who have 22 league goals (albeit a fair few pens) in 25 games, so almost a goal a game, who are just about hitting top form together so more to come, with Wood (a 20 goal man last year) on the bench with the addition of GTF and Schlupp, we'll be fine if a striker doesn't come in...

Plus, for the first time in a few years, we've got a lot of players chipping in with a few goals, Dyer, Knocky, Drinky and King (on the bench) so goals will continue to come ..... roll on a 0-0 with Leeds now : /

He's been out of contract since Sunday. We have no idea what he is being offered by LCFC or what he wants which might be coaching badges and access into management training rather than say 15K a week for being a bench player? He's doing what any of us would do and hearing out all the options and making a decision based on the best offer. No point getting angry at him because he should have some perceived degree of loyalty or gratitude for an offer we know nothing about.

You say he is doing what any of us would do....... Sorry that us not the case, I would have sorted out my coaching by now and if looking at the end of a contract I would have a pretty good idea of what i am looking for in my next deal and if offered take it, I am not sure if KP is using us or we are looking at other deals or to move a player on, it is quite frustrating tbh

Will be glad when this one is over, one way or another. Being held to ransom by KP lol

Getting to the point it seems he is just 'Upping his price' using leicester as a springboard, Top of the table club interested.. Other clubs will have to beat us to him and offer more..

He knows he won't be a regular here so seems like he's doing just that

Is that Hull Tigers????

The whole thing is a bit farcical IMO - how long does it take to decide where to finish your career - he's had 3 weeks now. He must know wherever he goes he won't play every week, not because he's not got the talent, but because at 40, his body won't cope with it, no matter how fit you are. I'd love him here, because I think he offers something different to our other strikers and he would be excellent experience to have on the bench or even starting the odd game (so we could give Nuge or Vardy a rest). However, I think Pearson would like the business over and done with promptly and may decide to look elsewhere if KP keeps dithering.

Considering time is not on his side you would think this whole decision making process would have gone quicker

Veteran striker Kevin Phillips is set to join Leicester following his release by Crystal Palace. Phillips joined Palace on loan from Blackpool in January last year, and scored six goals to help the Eagles into the Premier League.

Apparently what is holding things up now is, he  wants the stadium name shortened to the 'KP' Stadium.
