Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies has lodged an appeal against a three-match touchline ban imposed on him by an Independent Regulatory Commission, following an incident of misconduct in relation to his side’s game against Leicester City on 19 February 2014.

Davies has already served a two-match touchline ban after admitting one charge of misconduct for using abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour towards the Match Referee after the fixture.

However, he has appealed against the Independent Regulatory Commission’s decision that he also deliberately made contact with the Match Referee following the fixture, which amounted to improper conduct.

An Appeal Board will convene on Wednesday 19 March 2014 to consider the appeal.

His three-match touchline ban has been stayed until the outcome of the appeal and Davies will, therefore, be eligible to return to the touchline for Forest’s fixture against Doncaster Rovers this Saturday [15 March 2014].

Do they up his ban if the appeal fails?

Does anyone else think Billy is one loss away from the sack?

I think they're stuck with him for a while yet. There was an interview with flaky fawaz before we played them and he was saying how he wants stability believing it to be the way for success, he then pointed at us not sacking Pearson as proof. So the circus should carry on a little longer yet.

Some of the Forest fans at my place are starting to have second thoughts and working in Long Eaton it is quite funny with the Derby fans as well. So much hype about the guy and it looks like he is already making up excuses to cover himself when it goes pear shaped. Some of them can see no wrong in him though.

He is a decent manager at this level, and when he was at Preston and even Derby he was quite bearable. Not though, I just can't stand him.

Honestly think he'll get the boot if they don't go up, I'd put money on Chrissy P being their next manager if he does leave

Don't think fawaz would go for somebody of Chris Powell's stature, Sven would be more to his liking surely.

Not to worry, that run is about to end.

Psycho was our boss before. The famous story is that for his first team sheet he forget to name a gk.

Just reckon he'd do alright in this league with money to spend

I *think* I read that he's actually spent £5m this year which is an awful lot more than us. Maybe Redhux can put that straight though?

You do wonder where they'd be without injuries though.

Hux, why is your best striker at Yeovil?

In every game I've seen him play he's been a head down, charge at the defence before shooting over the Trent end kind of player. Despite being big he has the dictionary definition of a 50p head. I don't know Yeovil have loaned but it can't possibly be the same cart horse!

That's not a good score for us. Forest win or draw would be better.

Neither is it a bad one. Still 5 wins from catching us, and that's if we lost all those games as well.

I enjoyed Forest's playoff hopes get pummelled.
