RedHux Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 What a laughing stock. Unbelievable what mugs their fans are for completely absolving their chairman of any blame for this. Five managers in 2 years, he's turned them into a circus and a joke. The 5 managers thing is a bit misleading. Cotterill was here when he arrived and was sacked immediately on account of stealing a living as a manager, SOD got the post when we didn't have a team and got us about where we are now but Mcleish became available and Fawaz couldn't resist and that was his biggest mistake. Mcleish didn't work out and the clamour for Billy was so strong it was inevitable. Now Billy has had a meltdown his position was the dictionary definition of untenable.

MrSpaM Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 News is they've signed Peltier for rest of the season from Leeds. Don't mess about does he!
RedHux Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 does billys hefty compensation package count towards ffp Talk is of financial impropriety concerning Billy so his pay off may be something open to debate. It's thought Fawaz was waiting until his man handling of a ref hearing was finished so he could sack him for gross misconduct.

I was saying to my Forest fan mate that I can't believe this meltdown. I actually had money on Forest to get promoted, but Billy has had such a complete implosion it's about to potentially ruin your season. He's made a rod for his own back and has no-one to blame but himself for losing the dressing room etc, he just couldn't help himself. Though I still can't help having a little chuckle to myself. Sorry, but you would too .

It's still 3 appointments, 3 failures and 3 sackings at an average of 7/8 months each. No progress being made on or off the pitch. Hasn't any one of your fans entertained the notion that Fawaz is a clueless twat yet?

Harry - LCFC Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 So what's next for Billy then? Blackpool? Leicesterpool, your "Who's next for Forest?" thread is taking a while. I've been waiting to cast my vote all afternoon!
Saxondale Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 East Midlands Today is going to be ruddy hilarious this evening!
RobHawk Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 As much as i hate billy and am glad to see him get sacked, i thought he would have been given more time. Things clearly took a turn for the worse but these projects take time. Just consider how many on here were calling for Nigs head this time last year. I suppose Billys biggest let down was that for the first time he was really backed financially by a chairman and he failed. Should have took the slow and steady rate like Nig. Can't see Colin doing much and will be surprised if they make Playoffs.
Babylon Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 The gift that keeps giving... rumours abound hat Warnock is bringing in PELTIER on an emergency loan with him. Ho ho ho ho ho ho ho.

Sorry, but you would too . His meltdown was of biblical proportions. His no talking to the press thing, when he did talk to the press it was just the ramblings of a paranoid loon. That business with the two photographers, and that's before you start to mention his, lets say eccentric, tactics of late. Without medical help it wasn't going to get better anytime soon. As for the three sackings thing, his only real mistake was sacking SOD and appointing AM. Nobody could see the dramatic BD meltdown coming when he was appointed.

Really? under Doughty he got rid of Davies for his crazy antics seems like you didn't learn..
RedHux Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 Oh no, this was different. With Doughty, BD played the hard done manager who couldn't sign everyman and his dog. Fawaz gave him everything he wanted and despite that the relationship between the two has taken a nose dive over recent weeks (not sure why). Billy has since gone on to do everything he can to get fired. He's played Halford up front with two forwards on the bench. Then moved Halford to right wing despite us having an international winger on the bench. Said winger then turns in two motm performances only for him to be dropped for the next two games. Our only half decent player on Saturday was taken off for Henderson or Derbyshire (I forget which). This combined with all the off field nonsense and bizarre press conferences which sounded like the ramblings of a mad man gave the appearance that BD needs professional help.

Are you short of centre backs - or moving to a 5-3-2 long-ball game?
Harry - LCFC Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 It is a bit ridiculous how insistent Warnock is on signing his old players. If they didn't bring success before why should they bring you success now? If he doesn't learn from past mistakes that'll be it for him.
ScouseFox Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 chopping and changing managers, signing shit players, having more right backs than the rest of the league put together, this is all very leicester 05-08. very good.
Strokes Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 For what its worth, I think Warnock is the right appointment short term. He has enough experience and with that squad should secure a playoff place.
