steveherbe Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 No it's raining again:( Normally I get up early around 7:30 for my jog i'm tempted in the morning to jog down to the ground, find out what's going on? Yep, just been outside, fine drizzle, the kind that wets you through - thanks Peter Kaye :-)
Bert Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 You staying before tomorrow?I'm there now mate, yes.
Larry_LCFC Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 That picture stringer tweeted an hour ago shows how much rain they've had. Please don't get postponed
Guest Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 Keep the faith. The gaffer will pick a team to cope with the strong winds and squally showers. He's been saying since the start of the year that this team has resolve and can see games through. The desire is there to tough it out. With a following wind, just watch the ball fly into the net when Jamie gets hold of it!
John Munday Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 I don't want to piss anyone off, but I live in Bournemouth and it's been torrential all day. The word is the match will be called off tomorrow morning
lgfualol Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 Should pitches really get waterlogged for Championship teams in this day an age
Larry_LCFC Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 Bournemouth's stadium is well and truly punching above its weight in the championship. I think they should all have to be 20,000 capacity and have a decent drainage system. 12,000 is nothing.
steveherbe Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 24 hour forecast for bmth looks good. No rain from midnight till an odd shower around midday. 0900 forecast is wall to wall sunshine. It' ll be fine - fingers crossed. Bedtime now, Asda at 0800 then off to the game. COYB!

I think they should all have to be 20,000 capacity. 12,000 is nothing. 12,000 is a capacity fitting for a club of their size. 20,000 would be awfully empty. As for the match, I'd rather it be called off than us get turned over due to the conditions being a leveller.

DennisNedry Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 True. Maybe its just Bournemouth in general punching above its weight in the championship They are, as are Yeovil. Good on them though. If we do play on a waterlogged pitch tomorrow I can see us struggling.

KFS Posted 1 February 2014 Posted 1 February 2014 The weather is fine, it's just a case as to whether their pitch held out last night.
Soup Posted 1 February 2014 Posted 1 February 2014 Head Steward on fox travel hasn't heard a peep,so all buses have left.
Spudulike Posted 1 February 2014 Posted 1 February 2014 Heavy rain due at noon followed by light rain by kick-off according to the Metoffice. Michael Fish says that a woman in Guildford has heard there's a hurricane on the way. It's not true.
Happy Fox Posted 1 February 2014 Posted 1 February 2014 AFC Bournemouth â€@afcbournemouth 28s UPDATE: The pitch at #afcb is currently playable. However, the situation must be monitored closely if conditions worsen. #lcfc AFCBvLCFC I am wondering whether if the fans arrive before 1pm whether we can play earlier than 3pm.
MikeyT Posted 1 February 2014 Posted 1 February 2014 Leicester City Football Club As things stand, today's game at AFC Bournemouth is ON. The Goldsands Stadium pitch will continue to be monitored in the event of conditions worsening considerably. ‪#‎lcfc‬
Vlad the Fox Posted 1 February 2014 Posted 1 February 2014 Couldn't we have got a live feed for the pitch inspection?
MikeyT Posted 1 February 2014 Posted 1 February 2014 Couldn't we have got a live feed for the pitch inspection? In this day and age you would think that would be possible.
