Hugo Sanchez Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 Ok I'm not tempting fate and I'm not saying we're up yet because obviously their still abit left to do but how exciting will it be when the fixtures get published next year and we could finally be in the premiership. Been along time since when we could actually look forward to fixtures being announced. Who would you want ? Home game for me, Aston Villa. (if they stay up)
StanSP Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 I can't wait for all the games to be honest. Hope we never have a run like Arsenal's coming up or Villa's at the start of this season!
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 Burnley away as I hope they go up too
DennisNedry Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 Whoever goes up in the Play Offs at Home. Hopefully get 3 points on the board.
sdb Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 I know i'll get slated for this but threads like these really do feel like tempting fate.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 I know i'll get slated for this but threads like these really do feel like tempting fate. Yep. There's simply no teaching some people is there?

Hugo Sanchez Posted 9 February 2014 Author Posted 9 February 2014 Yep. There's simply no teaching some people is there? Frazier Campbell Holiday thread ??? Everyone had a good laugh and said they would bottle it like they usually do. Then we went to Yeovil on a tuesday night and they went to Arsenal .... People are sooooo scared that we're gonna bottle it. Have some confidence in Nigel and the lads for once.
foxfanazer Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 Chelsea at home 2-1 to us. Dzeko with the winner

I've said before, any other team in our position and I'd have a (P) next to their name already. I just can't do it with us
Fox92 Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 I'm not even going to tempt fate (nothing to do with the thread, I'm just that sort of person). I'll just say the game I'd be most looking forward to is Liverpool away.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 9 February 2014 Author Posted 9 February 2014 I hate managers who's teams are top and they play down their chances and don't mention the P word. Jose Mourhino is clever because he knows Chelsea can win the league but takes the pressure off and piles it on Man city. When Liverpool were top at xmas, Rodgers interviews came across as ...Yeah we're top now but we aren't gonna win the league, we're be delighted to finish 4th. If you're top, you're their on results and if your manager don't believe, then that affect will pass on to the players.

I just fear some of us fans feel we're already up and that reflects in shit atmospheres like yesterday which in turn affects the players
Soar Fox Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 A promoted side away first game of the season. Liverpool at home on Boxing Day. Hull at home last day of the season.
dayday Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 When we played Cambridge in the playoffs I was convinced we would never make it to wembley, even now I have not changed and won't unless there is a p after our name.
CKB Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 I just fear some of us fans feel we're already upVery true, some of the stuff I've seen from some fans lately has been cringe worthy...Yes we are in a good position, yes we have been playing decent stuff but I think some of the fans have forgot how this league works! You with luck which we have had at times can go unbeaten in an x amount of games but you can easily go on a bad run aswell I'm still taking it game by game and by May of course I hope we are a PL club again but I certainly am not getting carried away yet because like I said this league is crazy and football can be a funny ole game at times....
smudger63 Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 Last season we were 2nd in the table with 17 games to go, and we had a number of excited people talking about when we get promoted, and we ended up winning just 2 of those 17 games. Although we are looking as if we are sitting pretty, 11 points ahead of Qpr and Burnley at the moment,by the time we play Forest (a game against a team on a longer unbeaten run than us) it`s possible that both Qpr and Burnley will have closed that gap to 5 points, and the situation will not be looking so cut and dry. Can we please just try to take it one game at a time, and not start getting to far ahead of ourselves! People go on about the flat atmosphere yesterday, but i think part of that was born out of complacency, and fans sitting there waiting for us to just turn up and win. Last season should act as a warning to everyone that we should keep our feet on the ground, and that we should certainly not take things for granted. Burnley have lost only 3 league games all season, Qpr have lost only 4, Forest have lost only 4, these teams are not looking like they are going to just drop away and let us stroll to promotion!
