Leicesterpool Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 I think an home game against Liverpool would be great, first away day though i'd go for Arsenal or West Ham. How about your ideal fixture list folks?
The Year Of The Fox Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 Last season we were 2nd in the table with 17 games to go, and we had a number of excited people talking about when we get promoted, and we ended up winning just 2 of those 17 games. Although we are looking as if we are sitting pretty, 11 points ahead of Qpr and Burnley at the moment,by the time we play Forest (a game against a team on a longer unbeaten run than us) it`s possible that both Qpr and Burnley will have closed that gap to 5 points, and the situation will not be looking so cut and dry. Can we please just try to take it one game at a time, and not start getting to far ahead of ourselves! People go on about the flat atmosphere yesterday, but i think part of that was born out of complacency, and fans sitting there waiting for us to just turn up and win. Last season should act as a warning to everyone that we should keep our feet on the ground, and that we should certainly not take things for granted. Burnley have lost only 3 league games all season, Qpr have lost only 4, Forest have lost only 4, these teams are not looking like they are going to just drop away and let us stroll to promotion! well said
Kitchandro Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 Yep. There's simply no teaching some people is there? What's to be taught? Fate isn't actually tempted it's a fvcking figure figure of speech. Like when I've finished reading this thread I'm not going to physically sling my hook.
Soar Fox Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 Why can't people get excited a bit, we're 11 points clear with 16 games remaining. After the dross we've watched over the past 10 years cause people will be getting a bit excited. I'm sure people writing stuff on a football forum won't have any bearing on the outcome of results. I'm sure Pearson and his staff will have the players feet firmly on the floor. Let's just enjoy it whilst we can as it's not every season you'll be sat at the top of a league 11 points clear.

FuriousFox46 Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 I know i'll get slated for this but threads like these really do feel like tempting fate. These are the sort of thing you have verbal conversations about that why if it doesn't come to fruition, there's no evidence of it for others to mock
Leicesterpool Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 http://www.fixturelist.com/ just used this Mine came up with Chelsea away first game of the season and last game of the season home to Stoke.
MC Prussian Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 I know i'll get slated for this but threads like these really do feel like tempting fate. Yep. There's simply no teaching some people is there? Especially when those threads are started by closet Leicester fans that actually root for Arsenal. Still 16 games to go and 48 points to fight for.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 Unless we're playing a top 4 club, we'd be last on MOTD, rather than first on FLS (and they don't even usually talk about the last match). But yeah, 5 extra minutes sleep I suppose!

But yeah, 5 extra minutes sleep I suppose! I remember when I was younger we were one of the two main highlights games (they just showed the goals from the others) against Southampton at home. Won 2-1, was very excited that a totally unexciting looking match was so highly thought of

Larry_LCFC Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 This thread is so cringeworthy its unreal. We have over 15 games left. Over 45 points up for grabs. Anything can still happen, multiple teams could go up. Some of our fans think the rest of the season is a minor formality and that the title is in the bag. Reality check people, we could still collapse, and what utter laughing stocks we will be if we do.

foxfanazer Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 People get so stroppy over hypothetical questions on here. If you don't like it don't comment. Simple really
weller54 Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 Jesus!!.. If we don't get promoted now we never will.. Would take the biggest collapse since the twin towers to balls it all up from here!!!!
MC Prussian Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 Jesus!!.. If we don't get promoted now we never will.. Would take the biggest collapse since the twin towers to balls it all up from here!!!! a) See 2012/2013 season for further reference b) Let's take one game at a time And please take your 9/11 analogy somewhere else. Because it's rather disrespectful.
