Duel European cup winner European Cup:[5]1979, 1980 First Division: 1977–78[5] Football League Cup: 1978,[5]1979[5] UEFA Super Cup: 1979[8] FA Charity Shield: 1978 Anglo-Scottish Cup: 1976–77[9] Football League First Division: 1971–72 I get what you're saying about his bitterness, but to say "Who is he" is mad haha, One of the best Midfielders of that Era
suffolk fox Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Hate to say it he was a quality player in his day. Had to turn off five live extra commentary though he was so biased. Thought Mr Young and Stringer were bad but he was ridiculous. Wanted Nugent booked with his first touch in the game.

foxfanazer Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Worse than Youngy and that's saying something
cityfanlee23 Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 The 'Who is he' was a genuine question as to who he is....not a sarcastic attempt to mock the man. Haha fair enough mate Brian clough took him from a 16 year old at Hartlepools to duel european cup winner!
Oxfordfox83 Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Haha fair enough mate Brian clough took him from a 16 year old at Hartlepools to duel european cup winner! Have Forest won the European Cup?! You'd think they'd make more of that-I had no idea...
cityfanlee23 Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Have Forest won the European Cup?! You'd think they'd make more of that-I had no idea... I know mate, I found out by accident
cityfanlee23 Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 And to add salt to john wounds... All of those top honours in the game... Never got a cap for scotland!
Tuna Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Moaning about BBC Nottingham commentary being Biased? Am I missing something?
Guest Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Give me Young and Stringer over that pair of pathetic, biased cvnts any day.
AKCJ Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Moaning about BBC Nottingham commentary being Biased? Am I missing something? Yes, it was broadcast on what was supposed to be an unbiased station.
sylofox Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 The 'Who is he' was a genuine question as to who he is....not a sarcastic attempt to mock the man. Your praps too young. Love him in our midfield now 2 gold gongs to his name was he in the championship winning team too? Niel Lennon x 2 great player imo
LanguedocFox Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Didn't hear the commentary, so can't comment on that. But I can tell you that John McGovern was a class player - ask MON and John Robertson if you don't believe me. I just wish he had played for City in the 70s, alongside Keith Weller and behind Frank Worthington, and we would have won stuff. Maybe he was biased tonight - as I say, I don't know - but why shouldn't he be: he's a Forest fan, for fvck's sake? You think Alan Young does a balanced commentary?
yorkie1999 Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 I went to one of his gentle men's evenings a few years back and he was as boring as fvck. It was like a Brian clough love in.
notnow john Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Haha fair enough mate Brian clough took him from a 16 year old at Hartlepools to duel european cup winner! Wasn't it outlawed in the 19th century?
foxsake Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 Haha fair enough mate Brian clough took him from a 16 year old at Hartlepools to duel european cup winner! Hartlepools hunged a monkeys in the nineteenth centuries.
Dan Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 They're pathetic losers. Clough would turn in his grave if he heard some of the pathetic shite they're spouting, manager included.
