LCFC Rennie Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 Because people that go to away games are proper supporters so they care more. I remember at Leeds when we scored i almost passed out i was going that mad also the same at Watford when Knocky scored
TheUltimateWinner Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 last season? Surprised you didn't meet me as I was also flat on the deck. All I know is a liquid, i'm thinkning beer went over me then i faceplanted the floor. My arms carried on celebrating though, the rest of me was paralyzed.
LCFC1996 Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 Go mental home & away just a little bit more mental away!
sylofox Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 Away goals and wins are not so easy come by. I think we expect it at home a little more than you do away. Most sides in this division at home can beat anyone. With no disrespect the owls proved that this season we should never have lost to them with there form at the time. Then look at ipswich comments a fair top half team and most are saying they would be happy to get a draw.
El Sieffsi Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 Personally..I think all the above reasons are correct
cambridgefox Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 Living away from Leicester I would prefer an away season ticket rather than a home one.
Bayfox Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 Living away from Leicester I would prefer an away season ticket rather than a home one. Living in leicester I'd like the option.
Voll Blau Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 Away games are better in every way If people had the same attitude towards home games they'd be just as good!
shailen Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 I think at away games, usually the more committed/vocal fans turn up so it seems to be a better support, whereas at home games it's a mixture of families, elder fans...etc so in terms of noise it may not feel like the same noise per person if we were to measure it in that way.
AndWhat? Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Hoping to borrow my mates GoPro for an away game sometime, will be a pretty good perspective of goal celebrations!
Dr The Singh Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 More beer, more exitement, more expectation, mentally more tribal, sense of territory and invasion!!
steveherbe Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Individually people celebrate the same. But, at away games there are not the 'typical family stand-ers'. There aren't (as many) little kids waving scarves or old people. There are more 'lads' who make more noise generally Old people? Hope you're not referring to me? I may be the wrong side of 60, but I can still celebrate like a good 'un. Bournemouth away, I bent my zimmer frame!!
svensson Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 It's quite a good celebration in the family stand now, well in block N it is anyway. It's getting more and more crazy in there every game. Don't see why people slag the family stand off its a brilliant atmosphere in the N block It's quite a good celebration in the family stand now, well in block N it is anyway. Bournemouth away, I bent my zimmer frame!! no disrespect!! I meant the extremely quiet ones, with hundreds of badges on their little beanies. Im sure you can mate!
Sir Steve Howard Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 When the opposition score at our place do you look over at the away fans ?? I think that when we are away you just know the home fans are looking at us and it's our chance to show what we are about. I like a gangway seat when we are away so that I can move into the aisle where I know I can be seen by the home fans. Particularly satisfying Will never forget the game at home to Newcastle on boxing day in the 03/04 season when darren ambrose scored for them in the 90somethings to make it 1-1. Absolute bedlam in the away end. Never seen anything like it. For one reason or another some clubs (leeds/cardiff/newcastle for example) just seem to have more passionate fans than everyone else. Peterborough away last year for us was about as close as I've seen us get to their level. Probably the best away day I've been on, don't care that we lost. And the next day we had a load of people ringing up to the football forum to complain!! Literally defies belief. What has football come to.

Particularly satisfying It's sad that I know exactly what you mean and I'm exactly the same. Forest's cameramen sicken me. I could've been on third eye if they'd shown our end properly
Harry - LCFC Posted 25 February 2014 Posted 25 February 2014 Part of it is that you know away games are tougher fixtures in general. That's certainly the case with me anyway. Last season in particular we were poor away from home so I went nuts at any goal we scored, it seemed like a major achievement taking the lead against Sheffield Wednesday. Home games I expect to win, bit arrogant but that's how it is so I can't get as excited when we've banged in our 3rd goal of the game.
