KIRBYFOX93 Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 Why do we go so nuts away, but when we score at home its not anything like it. i usually end up 5-6 rows away from where i was standing? i never understand why we go so crazy?
Simmo86 Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 Different mentality away from home. Personally go nuts whenever we score, home or away.
Fox92 Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 It is a different mentality, I agree... Whilst I still celebrate, it's nothing like away games. Is it because you're actually in someone else's "home"? Not sure. There's been a few times when celebrations have been good though, that 1-0 victory over Leeds as an example.
HEGGSY Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 Many games this season I've ended up rows away from where I sit. Home and away. Forest on Wednesday was prime example. Also Dyer vs Bolton was insane, as was Drinky vs Watford. A celebration is what you make of it.'I just go mad.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 Celebrate exactly the same, apart from Peterborough Away the other year... ended up on the floor
lestajigs Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 People deffo go more nuts in l1 k and j3, I've been in the kop and its a stand up and clap kind a thing
Munshi Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 Celebrations after Drinky's goal against Watford were amazing. Every goal against Derby had good celebrations. Bolton we went crazy. Fulham was amazing Think its because at home we're expected to win more, whereas away there's a more balanced view on the game
ousefox Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 People who go away have made more effort to get there = care more when we score?
BrummieFOX Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 I think sometimes it's because we aren't as likely to win away and therefore a goal is seen as a bigger deal. However, I think it's mainly a mob/crowd mentality. The collective view of a crowd or group affects how you behave. e.g. L/K/J go mental when we score because they're all like-minded people - up for the atmosphere, fun etc. If you put one/two of those people on their own in the West stand you wouldn't get them reacting in the same way. It's the same as when we travel away.

In an away end you get more of the type of people who sing etc.. not trying to say if you don't sing your not a real fan and shouldn't go to away games.
deejdeej Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 I get the same euphoric feeling home or away, better than sex.
deejdeej Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 Celebrate exactly the same, apart from Peterborough Away the other year... ended up on the floorlast season? Surprised you didn't meet me as I was also flat on the deck.
AndWhat? Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 last season? Surprised you didn't meet me as I was also flat on the deck. the vision of that proper made me laugh!
John Munday Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 Like I said yesterday, it's the euphoria surrounded by the hostility that does it
Dan Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 I'm the same at home games as away, which 1964FOX will tell you is ridiculously excessive OTT
AndWhat? Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 I'm the same at home games as away, which 1964FOX will tell you is ridiculously excessive OTT It's impossible to be OTT IMO. The more mental the better!
TJB-fox Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 Individually people celebrate the same. But, at away games there are not the 'typical family stand-ers'. There aren't (as many) little kids waving scarves or old people. There are more 'lads' who make more noise generally
The Year Of The Fox Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 I get the same euphoric feeling home or away, better than sex. Goal celebrations last longer than sex.
foxcam Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 It's quite a good celebration in the family stand now, well in block N it is anyway. It's getting more and more crazy in there every game. Don't see why people slag the family stand off its a brilliant atmosphere in the N block It's quite a good celebration in the family stand now, well in block N it is anyway. Spudulike Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 When the opposition score at our place do you look over at the away fans ?? I think that when we are away you just know the home fans are looking at us and it's our chance to show what we are about. I like a gangway seat when we are away so that I can move into the aisle where I know I can be seen by the home fans. Particularly satisfying
Bayfox Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 I always think the away celebrations are a little more mental. But I think thats due to us all being packed in a small space. I guess l1 may feel the same. Sk1 at fibert st was always mental. Oddly I felt it was more mental once the seats went in. Normally found myself 8 rows out of position on the floor and often with bleeding shins. Normally missed the next 2 mins trying to work my way back up to my space. Also on away days the drinking normally starts at 9am on the train probably explains it
