I could immediately tell from the demo that this was decent.

I will pick it up eventually but have an ever increasing backlog to get through.

You won’t be disappointed, especially if you’re a Resi fan.

a remake of nemesis would look sick. a remake of dino crisis would be even better.

I think judging by how successful this remake is looking to be we'll definitely see a Nemesis remake in the same engine.

After the way this remake for Resi 2 is, I’ve got to say I’m very impressed. Surely Capcom will release a remastered version of Resi 3. It’s bad enough being chased by the Tyrant on 2, imagine what it would be like being chased by the Nemisis lol:frantics:

Onto the final mission on Just Cause 4. Really enjoyed the game, just love how many different things you can try with the tether.

Will finally try and get back into Red Dead afterwards. If I cant get into it I reckon it will be a trade in job for Kingdom Hearts 3. Don't care if I'm 33, Kingdom Hearts is class

Completed my first run on Resi 2 with Leon. Did it just under 7 hours so took my time with it. I’ve got to say it’s a brilliant game, probably the best remastered game I’ve played. Probably one of the best games on PS4. I say this as I’m a big fan of the old Resident Evil series but even newcomers can get into this. Brought back some great memories. Now going to do a second run with Claire.

Finally into Act 3 of DQXI.  Just when you think you're nearing the end, nope, think again.

Reckon this platinum will take over 100 hours.  I'm 73 hours in now and doing the XP grind to level 99 on all characters.  The logic being once that's done I can race through all the remaining dungeons to face all the remaining bosses, clear the chests and collect all items to do the unique costumes for each character.

Then that leaves the casino trophy and it's done.

Octopath traveller: A solid jrpg for anyone into the genre.  One of those games where you'll think numerous times that you've sussed all the mechanics and start worrying that it's all monotonous repetition from this point onwards then boom: New layer of depth to the gameplay.

The one major gripe (beyond the standard complaints that befall all jrpgs) is one you'll already be familiar with if you've read reviews of the game and that's how the eight 'paths' are all completely standalone in the sense that while all the gameplay features your party at that moment in time, all the storytelling is done as though the main character of that arc is alone and that's quite a jarring element to throw into a party-based game.  On the bright side, once you've 'met' all 8 characters you can pick and choose which stories to follow (provided your party's at a high enough level, technically you can do it before meeting them all but the level caps make it worth your while to do everyone's 1st chapter to get your guys up to strength) so I'm doing 1 playthrough with a set team of 4 and I'll use the others for a 2nd play which should feel somewhat different given each person's unique attributes and quests.

All in all at this point I'd strongly recommend it to fans of the genre but maybe be more reticent if jrpgs aren't normally your thing or if you require a more cohesive story structure.

Been looking at Octopath and considering buying it. I'm going Australia in May so could do with a game that will take up time on the flight. Love a good JRPG and this sounds like a refreshing change of pace in a JRPG game. A friend of mine also said it was good. Just finding the money to buy it is a problem lol.

Too many games and not enough paper lol

Well after completing the first run through with Leon on Resi 2 remake I had to do the second run with Claire. I’ve got to say the second run is much harder than the first.

And again to anyone thinking of getting this I couldn’t recommend it enough. Visually stunning.

Well yeh why would I lie about it?

just messing. seems very quick to me because it took me near on 10 hours to finish it. leon's campaign was very good, not enjoying claire's as much. much harder imo. disappointing you don't get a new boss with her just mr x on both.

Did you go for the second run with Claire or her first run? The second run is ridiculous in the Police Station. Zombies, Lickers everywhere with the Tyrant chasing you wanting to give you a struggle cuddle.

Yeah i did leon first. the fact Claire takes so much damage is really annoying, and year mr x seems more relentless this time too. i'm glad i got the police station out of the way today. i really did not enjoy that part of the game tbh. i have it on standard and i found i was having to save whenever i could.

I’m just trying to unlock the car park key card. The places I need to get to with the Heart key is littered with lickers, it’s ridiculous.

I see that a new Doom release is on the horizon.  The first one can be picked up for a fiver, worth it for the single player alone?

I just picked up Doom in the recent PSN sale and although I'm not very far in it's well worth £5 of anyone's money. Nothing particularly new or inventive but jolly good fun nonetheless and expands on the old Doom lore.

Currently flitting between that, Hollow Knight, Batman Arkham Asylum, and LA Noire - an odd mix but I can't seem to settle on a game since finishing the Witcher III!

Assassins creed odyssey. Its boring me senseless. Might be the last AC for me.

Odyssey is the first Assassin's Creed game I've played since AC3 and I'm loving it. I don't think I would have enjoyed it as much if I'd played every single AC game.

Same goes for Far Cry games (also Ubisoft, also too many sequels).

I get there's huge pressure from shareholders but they should space out the releases of both series so they're better games but also bigger events.

If they'd released Elder Scrolls games or GTA games with the regularity of AC or FC games, no doubt we would be sick of them by now.
