65RosesFox Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 Dyche talks like he's swallowed a batch and it got stuck in his throat. That, I believe, is the key to his success Batch?!?!?!? This is a Leicester Forum, it's called a Cob!
Istilllovefilbert Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 Slightly going off on a tangent here, but as it seems most city fans would like to see Burnley come in second behind us, who would you want to win if a Derby v QPR play off final occurs? I should say QPR, but think about fookin over the sheep in the PL? Got be like a six point start for us.
VLC86 Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 Batch?!?!?!? This is a Leicester Forum, it's called a Cob! Pretty sure he's not referring to a cob mate

Zingari Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 Credit where credit is due. If you were a neutral you would have to say Burnley are the team of the season I think i'd agree Definitely they are the team that proves that the whole can be greater than the sum of its parts. But in many ways city are doing that too . I doubt if many pundits saw burnley as anything other than middle to lower end of the league. if i'm being honest , i wish i could witness a premier league side doing the same.
Raw Dykes Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 Would like them to come up with us but certainly all for a B'burn win today. I want us to keep winning and OPR, Burnley and Derby to drop as many points as possible for the next month. I don't want even a hint of drama before May. OPR? O is on the opposite end of the keyboard to Q. How did that happen?
lcfc1994 Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 Anybody but QPR & Forest for me. Like us under Pearson, Burnley have gone about things the 'right' way, it would be good to see them up too. The gap to 3rd is all important, but it would be slightly anti-climatic to not be lifting the Championship trophy & come 2nd now. Yeah I agree, although you have to say, derby have gone about the things the right way as well.
foxfanazer Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 Credit where credit is due. If you were a neutral you would have to say Burnley are the team of the seasonI see where you're coming from but I'd still say us. The points cushion we have and our unbeaten run just edges us imo
lcfcfan23 Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 Nah. That's you. You have to praise Dyche. Fantastic job. i was on about the guy that started the thread, its ridiculous to want the team chasing you to win. dyche has done a class job. so calm down kid

Dickov22 Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 Can't see why anyone would want Burnley to keep winning. I desperately want to win the league. Not just go up, win the thing
foxfanazer Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 I hope your right come the end of the season. Just think credit where it's due re Burnley that's allAbsolutely mate. Not taking anything away from them. For their budget they have been superb
CosbehFox Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 If you look at the fixtures, we have a real challenge from Burnley to face. By the time we play them by my predictions we will be level on points. They have got a great run in where we can hope that the relegated threatened teams wake up for them to drop points.

By the time we play them by my predictions we will be level on points. They have got a great run in where we can hope that the relegated threatened teams wake up for them to drop points. I would be very disappointed if Burnley were level on points with us by the time we play them, considering our next 4 opponents. It would mean a massive downturn in form for us against teams mid or lower league. Our test I think will come after the next 4 games.
ScouseFox Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 If you look at the fixtures, we have a real challenge from Burnley to face. By the time we play them by my predictions we will be level on points. They have got a great run in where we can hope that the relegated threatened teams wake up for them to drop points. Pretty pessimistic view there. You think we will drop 5 more points than Burnley in our next 4 games, vs Barnsley (23rd), Blackpool (19th with 1 win in 4 months), Blackburn (10th) and Yeovil (22nd)? Considering we have only dropped 4 points in our last 13 games to drop 5 (and Burnley win 4 more in a row) would be incredibly poor from us, especially looking at those fixtures. You may well be right and we might suddenly start losing points but there is nothing pointing to that fact at the moment, especially seen as we seem to be very good at brushing aside irrelevant teams, like Ipswich and Charlton, of late. We'd also still have Burnley to play and a game in hand so being level going into that game would not be the end of the world.
MC Prussian Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 If you look at the fixtures, we have a real challenge from Burnley to face. By the time we play them by my predictions we will be level on points. They have got a great run in where we can hope that the relegated threatened teams wake up for them to drop points. I can't see Burnley having caught up with us by then, given our next four fixtures. Barnsley, Blackpool and Yeovil are all winnable - keeping in mind that they can also act as potential banana skins, of course. If at all, I reckon Burnley will be able to maintain their form and not fade away like others have done.
Manc Fox Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 I think Burnley will go straight up with us as champs & i actually hope Dierby get through the play offs as istilllovefilbert says 6 prem points in the bag!!
lancyclaret Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Doubt very much if Burnley win their next 4 games. Birmingham (away).....Blues have to win a home game some time. Dirty Leeds (home).....they are one of our bogey teams and will have 4,000 fans in our biggest crowd of the season. Even when we play well against Leeds at home, they usually find a way to win. Charlton (away).........crap pitch is a big leveller and they'll have the "new manager" effect to boost them. Doncaster (home)......should win on paper but Doncaster battling hard and Billy Sharp is always a danger. I'd be delighted with 7/8 points as long as Derby and QPR also drop a couple. The bookies have us 7/1 to finish first - so in effect they are saying it''s 85% certain Leicester will win the title.
Corky Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Derby's next four look very tough- an improving Bolton at home, trip to Reading, local match against Nottingham Forest (who may well have no players left, but you never know) and then away at Ipswich. Us and Burnley have a real opportunity to really pull away in the next two weeks.

Socks Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 Sod that I want the brummies to win tonight! They are gash at home though.... Come on City (Birmingham) Burnely must lose sometime soon....surely?
Istilllovefilbert Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 Come on City (Birmingham) Burnely must lose sometime soon....surely? I've been waiting for Burnley's bubble to burst all season, and it hasn't yet. I'm sure there are other clubs that expect us to falter at some time too. So hoping no bubble bursting on our part, and not jinxing ourselves by wishing it on them. (Fook me! I'm not even superstitious.) A draw is the best I will hope for. Be delighted if brum manage that.
Lambert09 Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 I want the less equiped sides to come up with us, Burnley as they have no money and Derby would be the best outcome imo as we should (with the right signings of course) be able to sustain the gap in class over them, which would mean we only need to overtake one team to stay in the league. If f****t or QPR went up I imagine they would throw a lot of money about and could arguably rival us more.
lcfc278 Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 Credit where credit is due. If you were a neutral you would have to say Burnley are the team of the season Bollocks! I know we're biased but the football we have played, scored more goals, more clean sheets - we are definitely the team of the season so far. I watched Burnley in our draw earlier this season and i have to say, apart from the front 2 and 1 or 2 others - nothing special.
