katieakita Posted 1 June 2014 Posted 1 June 2014 Anyone organising a search and rescue party for Kitch to get him out of that hole he is in, nearly as bad as that lad who claimed to have got into some fisticuffs with RDL a few months back (has he resurfaced yet).

Ahhh, You mean ShearFox? I was wondering about him the other day. Don't think he ever posted again. Maybe he's in rehab?
Matt Posted 1 June 2014 Posted 1 June 2014 Enjoyed it, good fight, thought the first fight was better in terms of all round explosivness but I don't think you're ever going to top that and this fight was never going to be the same they both knew to much about each other, but it was good and I enjoy it, having said that the KO was one hell of a explosive punch! Gutted I was 1 round out though, I bet on a 7th, I know a few predicted the 8th and I hope they bet on it.
Matt Posted 1 June 2014 Posted 1 June 2014 Another thing if Degale is up next for Froch, Degale gets ko'ed inside 2 or 3 rounds. I'd have this opinion whether Degale faces Froch or Groves.
Bert Posted 1 June 2014 Posted 1 June 2014 Another thing if Degale is up next for Froch, Degale gets ko'ed inside 2 or 3 rounds. I'd have this opinion whether Degale faces Froch or Groves. Groves beat DeGale easily last time when they faces each other.
Tielemans63 Posted 1 June 2014 Posted 1 June 2014 Froch v Ward would be the match I'd most like to see but I can't see Froch taking a risk as big as that. Froch v DeGale would be a waste of time but I do think JDG has improved since Groves beat him. I thought Groves boxed well last night without troubling Froch too much. Shame for him that it was just as he was really starting to trouble him that he let his guard down and then bam. Was pretty gutted actually as I thought in the 7th and 8th it was heating up nicely, had Groves not made that daft mistake I think it could have been a really exciting finish. No excuse for that mistake though. Groves must be do pissed with himself as he was defending nicely. One right and it's game over.
Manwell Pablo Posted 1 June 2014 Posted 1 June 2014 Honestly don't know who's head will be hurting more this morning, George Groves or Kitch.
Tielemans63 Posted 1 June 2014 Posted 1 June 2014 Honestly don't know who's head will be hurting more this morning, George Groves or Kitch. He's submersed in a high-intensity training regime ahead of the Power at the Tower pay-per-view.
Matt Posted 1 June 2014 Posted 1 June 2014 Groves beat DeGale easily last time when they faces each other. Exactly. I wanted Groves to win that fight aswell, though DeGale was a cock in the lead up to that fight, in a similar way to what Groves was in the lead up to the first Froch fight. DeGale isn't in the same league as Groves and certainly Froch.
MPH Posted 1 June 2014 Posted 1 June 2014 Let's be honest though, Froch had a bit of an unfair advantage with that face-guard of a nose protecting most of his face....
Bettsj2 Posted 1 June 2014 Posted 1 June 2014 Did you watch the fight? Groves looked very comfortable landed some good punches and I'd say was just edging it on the scorecard. If you thought that I doubt you watched it.
Soar Fox Posted 1 June 2014 Posted 1 June 2014 If you thought that I doubt you watched it. Well he hardly looked in trouble did he and he was ahead on the scorecard. Round 7 with abit more pressure after rocking him with a left hook he maybe could have got a knockdown. One mistake in the 8th cost him the fight as he looked the stronger of the 2.

Froch was clearly in control. The first 6 were his easily. Groves took the 7th and it was even in the 8th until the KO. The first time Froch hit him, Groves looked like he didnt really know what to do. Groves had a lot of people believing his hype because of the 1st fight but truth is, he still has a hell of a long way to go before living with fighters of Froch's calibre.
Unabomber Posted 1 June 2014 Posted 1 June 2014 I've done kickboxing having a black belt does help you learn a thing or two about fighting. Absolute class, David Brent shit right here.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 1 June 2014 Posted 1 June 2014 Absolute class, David Brent shit right here. Certainly a few classics he must have quite the hangover

Corky Posted 1 June 2014 Posted 1 June 2014 Absolute class, David Brent shit right here. I like Kitch, some of my best friends are black belts
Guest ttfn Posted 1 June 2014 Posted 1 June 2014 Absolute class, David Brent shit right here. Definitely more Gareth than Brent.
Unabomber Posted 1 June 2014 Posted 1 June 2014 Definitely more Gareth than Brent. It reminded me of when Tim goes "I dunno mate he's pretty trim" and Brent says "yeah? against karate?"
Dan Posted 1 June 2014 Posted 1 June 2014 Shamefully was on the bandwagon for this despite the fact you could've wrote my boxing knowledge pre-match on the back of a stamp. Probably just wanted Groves to win but not remotely disappointed Froch won - I got my moneys worth and another sport that I will take genuine interest in in future, IMO.
Grewks Posted 1 June 2014 Posted 1 June 2014 I'm surprised how many people thought the fight was close, of course Groves and his camp are going to say it was, but Froch was never in trouble in comparison to the first fight. I couldn't pick between the two before the fight, but to me Groves looked really nervous on his way towards the ring, he had a really awkward smile at one point and the next he is stomping towards the ring with his head down, he wasn't right in his head at all. From round one Froch controlled the fight with his jab, and then as the rounds progressed he was allowed to put together a few combinations when he had Groves on the ropes. There is no doubting that Groves countered with a good left hook at one point, but apart from that he just didn't threaten Froch even though he was meant to have superior speed. In my opinion Froch outboxed and out thought groves, and to be honest i was very disappointed with the Londoner.

blueblood88 Posted 2 June 2014 Posted 2 June 2014 Groves beat DeGale easily last time when they faces each other. By easily, you mean on a marginal points decision? No one on this forum has a clue about boxing, this whole thread is just comedy to read.
