Danny Drinkwater and the media

Recommended Posts

I've seen a couple of post match interviews and him speaking to foxes player. Does he really ignore the media? or do you expect an interview every week from the MOM?

He dated a girl who my mate knows from Manchester and apparently he is a bit of a playaaaaa

I've heard he is as well lol

He isn't thick at all, have any of you ever spoken to him? He's a nice lad, down to earth and is all about his football. I know he models himself on Scholes, and in order to focus on his football Paul did the same. Danny is a good lad and a quality footballer.

Didn't Pearson say something about it being a superstitious thing with dd last night, playing really well and if he believes not speaking to the media will help that continue I hope they never speak to him again!!! Absolutely bossing it this season

I wouldn't bother if I was a player.

We've seen how many times the Mercury will take a quote out of context and make you look a twat. Why bother?

Remember when he was getting lambasted for making derogatory signs at his own fans many months ago.....leave him as he is...like others have said...it works!

Im sure you have got that wrong...I remember Marshall doing that as he was taking a corner during our bad run last year....I might be wrong but I dont recall Drinkwater doing so.

Think he was talking about the ear cupping celebration at Middlesbrough (and Charlton?).

They are sportsmen, hired because of a natural talent they possess. Why do they have to have a personality? Private people in football should not be scrutinised, we know how the press make a mountain out of a molehill so staying away from them isnt a problem for me.

Oh fair enough....I was referring to the rather more offensive gestures Marshall aimed at the fans!

Probably has a lot to do with swearing on the radio and it's put him off.

Dyer doesn't like it either. Plus, with Stringer you know he might try and catch you out - it's a lot different if he's doing interviews with Sky or the clubs press.

Plus, I think if they don't do interviews then they have to do public appearances, like coaching, visiting kids, etc to make up for it.

An interview with him talking about why he doesn't talk to the media. That's some crazy paradox shit mate.

Ha ha, like billy davies interview with late kick off on his self imposed media sulk.
