Berlinfox Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Are there specific reasons why Danny Drinkwater refuses to talk to the media. I'm surprised that the players are not contractually obliged to do so.
BigWesMorgan Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 So he can concentrate on his football. It works...
MattyFromLE Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Why should he? Scholes never did, did he? I don't want them all to come and tell us what we want to hear / already know. So long as Danny plays how he is - he'll continue letting his football speak for him.
Des. Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 I think he is very much like Paul Scholes in that he doesn't like the attention, he just likes to keep his head down & play his football.
Fox92 Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Just leave him. He's a good professional, and I do think he has a bit of Scholes in him (or Scholes is his hero). The media only twist everything anyway.
shade Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 I find him pretty interesting, I wouldn't mind seeing what he's like behind closed doors. nige described him as a complex character, cracking player though. impeccable.
FoxTrott Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Find it interesting, Scholes didn't do the whole media circus, did he? Lines drawn?
Raj Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Remember when he was getting lambasted for making derogatory signs at his own fans many months ago.....leave him as he is...like others have said...it works!
LCCFox96 Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 He has always been described as a good professional so if his "complex" character and not talking to the media don't disrupt his performances then we shouldn't be worried that he dosn't speak to the media. That being said I'd love to see a full feature interview with him and know why he dosn't want to speak to the media. Interesting stuff.
LAprice_ Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 I think this whole thread could be answered in one word and nearly everyone has said it. Scholes
Mark_w Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 I'm sure it's Drinkwater who always sounded incredibly thick when he was talking to Radio Leicester. Has been brilliant for Leicester and frankly I'm delighted that he's going nowhere near a microphone.
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Is going to have to learn though when he collects the Player of the year trophy at the awards night.
Jakemoore Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 He can do what he wants while he's playing like this!!
Unabomber Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 He has always been described as a good professional so if his "complex" character and not talking to the media don't disrupt his performances then we shouldn't be worried that he dosn't speak to the media. An interview with him talking about why he doesn't talk to the media. That's some crazy paradox shit mate.
johnny the fox Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 until he finishes his degree he will speak to nobody..fact.
Buzzell Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 What's the big deal here? If he doesn't want to speak to the media then that's his own choice. He shouldn't be 'contractually obliged' to do so.
Langston Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 One of (if not, definitively) the outstanding players in the division. He's going to be frighteningly good at his peak.
65RosesFox Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 It's the same with Dyer. They don't need to justify why they don't want to be in the media. Leave them to it.
Out Foxed Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 I'm sure it's Drinkwater who always sounded incredibly thick when he was talking to Radio Leicester. i think it's James.
lgfualol Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 I like it, he's great. I always find it a lil funny seeing De Laet (especially) and others' weekly "Leicester are focused" articles, then like nothing from Drinky.
