yorkie1999 Posted 24 April 2014 Posted 24 April 2014 So that's why we're crap at corners. We've been practising on a narrower pitch so the back post ends up being the front post on the proper pitch.
WhispyWizard Posted 24 April 2014 Posted 24 April 2014 Undersoil heating on the training pitch! most clubs cant afford it on the main pitch!
jonthefox Posted 24 April 2014 Posted 24 April 2014 are you autistic? it was the most obvious sarcasm ever. Steady on.
davieG Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 Residents who live near Leicester City's training ground are objecting to the latest phase of plans to upgrade the complex. The Premier League club wants to install an artificial flood lit five aside pitch at its Belvoir Drive ground in Aylestone. It has lodged its proposals with planners at Leicester City Council but there have been 11 objections from people who live nearby. The concerns relate to a fear of excessive lighting, noise disturbance, loss of nature and additional cars parking in nearby streets. The club has told the council it does not want to increase usage of the complex but just improve facility. Aylestone ward councillor Nigel Porter said: "People who live near the training ground are happy to have the club around but there is a fear about noise. There needs to be a balance. "The proposed hours of use are up to 10pm from Monday to Friday. "If people are playing at that time they will be shouting. "Then when they finish there will be car doors slamming as they leave. "It's just a bit much and a bit late." Members of the council's planning committee will discuss the application on Wednesday. Officials have recommended it be approved. A planning spokesman said he did not think the proposal would have a significant impact on nearby homes. He said, in practice, daylight allowed for use of the ground until 9pm anyway. He said the flood lights would not significantly affect homes. A club spokesman said: "The proposal will not affect the operation of the training ground or adversely affect the amenity of neighbouring residential properties." However, one neighbour wrote to the council saying the training ground already caused him daily disturbance, including music to 9pm every night from the academy tent, and cars and people coming and going. Spaghetti Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 Top should just offer to buy all there houses for 2 million each and then knock them all down!
Larry_LCFC Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 People really do moan about anything don't they. A 5 a-side game is hardly going to attract dozens of cars is it? Anyone would think it was going to attract thousands who would all be leaving on mass at 22:00. Get a life.
Spaghetti Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 Surely they would Park at the training ground. How would u hear that anyway. They are just worried about traffic on the road
ScouseFox Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 late night music from the academy tent? does this guy live by our training ground or glastonbury?
Strokes Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 Top should just offer to buy all there houses for 2 million each and then knock them all down!A great business plan, you should apply for the apprentice.
Heymister2015 Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 Good idea! The houses aren't anything special! Compulsory purchase order and develop a big complex!
gerrytaggart Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 I dont just shut my car door. I slam that m***** f***** into its door hole so f****** hard. Im hitting 50/60 db easily.
TheStig Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 Can't have car doors slamming at 10pm. The car doors of the cars the players drive dont slam they just go "whooosh"!
Free Falling Foxes Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 Tbf they're probably worried about some of the fringe players walking around late with their 'kit' hanging out!
Blanesta Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 Maybe they could bring a condition in where everyone must slam their car doors shut at the same time to limit the disruption, and they could put up please be quite signs everywhere so nobody talks in the daytime either, I think the club should really encase the entire area in a sound proof booth to stop any other outside noises like planes flying over. I think this is only fair.
