deep blue Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 Midway through the second half yesterday Bolton were awarded a free-kick. Their keeper took it from near the right touchline and about 40 yards out of goal. The ball went through pretty directly to Schmeichel. I noticed that their keeper had barely turned towards his goal and didn't seem too hurried to get back; I was willing Kaspar to launch one of his huge low trajectory kicks to try and score a goal direct while the opposition goal was unprotected. He's normally very alert to quick kicks & throws to try and catch the opposition off-guard, but on this occasion he didn't seem at all aware of the possibility. I was disappointed. A freak goal then (and I thought it was definitely on) would have deflated them and given us a huge boost, apart from putting us back in the lead. I've seen or heard no mention of this from anyone. Was I imagining the situation, or did anyone else see the same thing? (I was watching from row 1, barely above ground level, so my view and estimation of distances/angles may have been distorted).
C-man Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 Would've been a freak goal to lob the Bolton goalie in Yeovil.
Leicester1884Filbert Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 I was row 23 and did not see anything?
deep blue Posted 23 March 2014 Author Posted 23 March 2014 *Blackburn Sorry, and I took such pains over the writing. I did say that I didn't have a very good view...

Soar Fox Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 Surprised he could see anything sat at the Reebok. He's just sat through a football match and thought we were playing Bolton. Bad view or not how do you get that so wrong

I get the impression your expecting too much Easy to say whilst sat in the stands. Would have been a spare of the moment thing for kasper. I get the impression your expecting too much
ozleicester Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 Fvcking Kasper, hasnt scored all Season (not even in the cup or a penalty)... Kasper out!
Unabomber Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 Yeah it was a bad miss, he could have had a couple.
Tielemans63 Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 I've seen or heard no mention of this from anyone. Really? Weird..
kingcarr21 Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 hmmmm kasper to score from his own goal (extremely unlikely) Or hoof the ball up and give possession straight back to blackburn (the likely outcome) Think we expect too much from our players sometimes. I wasnt at the game but wind direction could of been against him.
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 Kasper missed a sitter. Step up King Conrad
