Jordan Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 Typical stupid Sky Sports News. Jumping the gun and assuming Wood will keep it when its blato Kasper's.Kasper's header did look to clearly cross the line, but if the referee played on and didn't blow the whistle until Wood put it in (as Rob Tanner just confirmed), then I highly doubt that the FL can officially change the decision that was made at the ground. So, guessing Wood keeps the goal isn't stupid at all--in fact, it's a prudent call.
HEGGSY Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 someone please make a song for him about this ! absolute Legacy You thought you'd won the game but you had not, you'd not You thought you'd took the 3 points you had not you'd not In came a Danish bloke Who headed in at the back post Kasper Schmeichal Leicesters No.1 I dunno, thought of it in about 2 minutes And I know it wasn't really the back post
SeCrEt FoX Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 The announcer at full time credited Kaper for the goal if that will make any difference, hope he gets it.
dog_4 Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 Surely its given to Wood? At the end of the day if he didn't put it in we would of ended up losing the game 1-0 because the ref/linesman didn't see schmechel's goal over the line! Hate to break the fairy tale but Wood is the one to thank!

bovril Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 Still don't get this giving it to Kasper. The ref waved play on. How much time needs to allapse between the two chances, if it had been cleared to the edge of the box and Drinkwater had smashed in a twenty yarder would we be giving it to Kasper? Not that I give a shit really

Jace Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 What if the ref gave it to Chris Woods then it would need to be corrected to player who actually plays for us and then the deciding panel decide to award it to Schmeichel anyway?

LCFC1996 Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 The fact that the referee told Stringer it may have to go to the dubious goals panel show's even he has no fvcking idea
One Legged Beaver Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 "@officialcwood 6m Got to thank @kschmeichel1 for the assist. The ref didn't blow or the linesman didn't flag before I put it in so it's mine :)" Does this mean it is officially Wood's goal then?
tcrofts Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 Loved that Kasper stayed up the pitch after the ball went back up the other end. Could have backfired, but you take your chance.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 The goal cam in on youtube, can't link to it as I'm on my phone
Footballwipe Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 I know it's romantic to give or it Kasper bit it's Wood's goal. By some people's reckoning on here Frank Lampard's goal against Germany stood in 2010 and we only lost 4-2. The goal wasn't given in real time, Tyne linesman is blind and the decision not to give it is stupid but if it wasn't awarded it wasn't awarded. The goal is Wood's, and thank god it is else we'd have been robbed.
One Legged Beaver Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 @SkyBetChamp 1h We can confirm that @OfficialFOXES' late equaliser against @ytfcofficial has been awarded to goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel. #Championship Definitely Schmeichel's then

Raj Posted 26 March 2014 Posted 26 March 2014 Miles over and what a fcuking header. He should do it more often. And great save to keep us in at in the 2nd half Guys a City legend already.
Ricey Posted 26 March 2014 Posted 26 March 2014 This still is when the ball is in the air, it was nowhere near that far over. I actually don't think it was all the way over the line. I'll drag this out again like I did with the Nugent incident against Middlesbrough: https://t.co/TZQRkAwjYN . Just because you can see a patch of grass between the ball and line doesn't mean it was over.

Beliall Posted 26 March 2014 Posted 26 March 2014 Blatantly kaspers goal. Ssn says it woods though and I cant velueve hes stealing a goal off a keeper!
Biggus Posted 26 March 2014 Posted 26 March 2014 I was behind the linesman, half way up the stand. From my view I was certain Kasper's ball was over the line, and I think video's show that too. I immediately looked at the linesman. He did not signal a goal. ....but in my book it was Kasper's. It's one we will talk about for a few years to come I think.
