Dan Posted 26 March 2014 Posted 26 March 2014 The problem is theirs not a decent atmosphere. Correct. That is the problem. The boo boys are the minority and won't be heard if there's a decent atmosphere draining them out - but there wasn't. Last night was absolutely appalling. The silence at times was almost eerie. Great when we scored - but other than that... Jesus. SK1 was as poor at its been all season too. Think UFS are just gonna have to focus on Wednesday & QPR because it clearly ain't happening for the other games.
Corky Posted 26 March 2014 Posted 26 March 2014 Alright then mate, let me know your seat number and I'll happily sit behind you at the Sheff Weds game and pelt you with sweets for 90 minutes while catching up with Eastenders on iplayer. Seeing as you think it's perfectly acceptable behaviour, I'm sure you won't have a problem with that? BANTER. All for it.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 26 March 2014 Posted 26 March 2014 Lad next to me - a STH - watched iPlayer for the last ten minutes... But the only bit where we actually played any decent football was the last 10 minutes. Which is one fo the great things about most sports, unless you watch 100%, you can miss a moment of genius. Like all the early leavers who missed Kasper's goal.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 26 March 2014 Posted 26 March 2014 Interestingly our average home crowd in league games is now 24223 so far this season Not too shabby
hairy Posted 26 March 2014 Posted 26 March 2014 Lad next to me - a STH - watched iPlayer for the last ten minutes... The lad infront of me plays on his phone every match. I am sure he didnt even look at the pitch in the first half. And he and his dad left before the goal (which is about the forth time they have done that this season) What really got me was how the crowd got on the players back from the start. Vardy missed and they hurled abuse and so it continued. When Mahrez missed his first they shouted for him to be taken off, when he missed his second they called for his head. Having a go at a below par performance really gets me. Yes we are all passionate about winning but get behind them not in their face
gs74 Posted 26 March 2014 Posted 26 March 2014 Would rather the club gave discounted tickets to proper fans who have to travel hundreds of miles to travel each match, every time there is an offer it always excludes online too. Annoying people who are not fans can get tickets for £5 and if you have to pay £100+ petrol travelling for a match it costs £35 a ticket So surely the fans who can't purchase online and live miles away can book a ticket by phoning the ticket office and then collect it on the day of the match (then they are getting the discounted price)
Jon25747 Posted 26 March 2014 Posted 26 March 2014 So two games on the trot I've had free loading student/day trippers next to/behind me. Now I don't like the phrase 'plastic fans' as some people who actually support us are governed by finance. But to try and fill the stadium with people who really have no interest in football dilutes any atmosphere we have. Had to endure 90 mins of a load of spotty teenagers today giggling every time one of them shouted a ridiculous comment, and chatting shit all match. Would rather the club not offer £5/free tickets, at least £15 would put these knobs off. DMU are club sponsors and just like any other sponsor, they get free tickets/ticket deals. If you take away those students, you also lose the sponsorship money from those areas as well. Don't blame the 'knobs' for taking advantage of good deals when they are offered to them.
broughtonblue Posted 8 April 2014 Author Posted 8 April 2014 Bump!! Shocking from the day trippers, god help us when we lose a few next year!
lgfualol Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Omfg I seriously don't understand what you expect, a bunch of people to pay extortionate prices, watch City play absolutely and smile throughout? People don't work like that.
MC Prussian Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Omfg I seriously don't understand what you expect, a bunch of people to pay extortionate prices, watch City play absolutely and smile throughout? People don't work like that. Just wait until next season. With some of our fans'... err... sorry, some of these customers' expectations, I predict a couple of riots if they're not served caviar and champagne at each home game.
themotivator Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 people can often be quite unreasonable... generally. that is all.
Larry_LCFC Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 I have to agree. In SK4 im generally surrounded by different people each match because its cheapest. Literally everyone on the rows around me turned up late, decided they needed to go for food every 10 minutes, were constantly shouting abuse, and left 10 minutes before the end of the game. I didn't even see 2 of their goals because everyone was stood up letting some twat out. Add to that some nobber in front of me who every time we went forward said "oh here we go, gonna lose it again" and when they went forward said "oh no we're gonna concede another." Fvck sake dude, go watch eastenders you bellend.

HehehePerhaps they should put a warning on tickets they might not see a good performance.
fantastic_mr_fox Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 I think we should just round up all these day trippers and plastics and put them in special camps....throwing sweets?! On their phones?!!! Getting angry at the team for a poor perfomance?? Leaving EARLY???! Round them up!!!! *i'm taking the pee by the way
Jakemoore Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 I'd rather have 8000 singing fans like against boro in the snow but unfortunately we have no say. The club want bums on seats and that's just that! I'm also kidding... 30, 000 fans looks amazing! It's just a shame you had to sit next to the free loaders...

Guest MattP Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Sad reminder tonight of what is to come next year, can see myself being done for assault next season. What a bunch of cnuts we bring in when things are won.
Larry_LCFC Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 How dare they do anything which you disagree with?! The cheek of it. Next time i think you should demand a whole stand to yourself. Jog on you muppet. Think you would get slightly irritated having to stand 15 times a half to let people in and out just because they cba to turn up on time and then sit still for 45 minutes. Abit of consideration costs nothing.
Babylon Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Loved the crowd going nuts at people walking out after 70/75 minutes. Wish we could have that last 10/15 minutes of atmosphere all the time.
Larry_LCFC Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 There were people leaving in the Kop after the 3rd went in with 30 mins to go. Awful support.
