Blond Witch Posted 27 March 2014 Posted 27 March 2014 Firstly I must stress that I don't mean all of you, but some of you on here seem to be concerned about not finishing the job. I understand that the previous seasons collapse may have some bearing on that but you are a better team now than that one. It's like the medication has worn off just because you drew with Yeovil (they are a Championship club you know). So I would say, settle thi sens down and try to enjoy it, you've got a very good side and the jelly and ice cream has already been made.
LCFC FOX Posted 27 March 2014 Posted 27 March 2014 Who do you support? I only think its a small majority of our fans tbh, we've just not played well the last 2 games and some are panicking. Also QPR seem to have a easy remaining fixture where we have some very tough games. Keep the faith!

Blond Witch Posted 27 March 2014 Author Posted 27 March 2014 I have introduced myself. cocker (the last word is a friendly word for someone in my part of the world, like pal or mate........just in case it ends up in the swear filter)

Also QPR seem to have a easy remaining fixture where we have some very tough games. Keep the faith! They're a Burnleh fan, I think mostly we have the serially negative parts who look for any excuse to pan the team (if you want a laugh look for the thread tipping us for relegation this season)
J.Lisemore Posted 27 March 2014 Posted 27 March 2014 Bloody Burnley fans invading our forum Nah but seriously, welcome to the land of the delusional football fans, where being top the league just isn't quite good enough...

Would any of your fans start abusing Marney and calling him a useless **** if you drew to a team in the lower regions of the league? Or Boo after your 18th game unbeaten?
Jakemoore Posted 27 March 2014 Posted 27 March 2014 Can't get Saturday out of my head. I'm bricking it! Can just see us cocking up and letting the clarets in to take our title from us. Having said that, the fact we have a game in hand reassures me a tad, albeit against a decent Wigan side..
NewquayFox Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 We are already up, end of...... Up the City.......
AKCJ Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 I think we're past the "will we, wont we" stage in terms of promotion but it'd be a real kick in the teeth if we lost the title so I think that;s why there is a touch of anxiety. Especially because we've a tendency to **** things up.
Captain... Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 Because we have been dog shit for the best part of a decade, and in our only decent seasons, except league one, we have bottled it twice in play off games we should have won.
howlinmadmurfdoc Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 I'm too long in the tooth for all of this, when we have a (p) or © next to us on the table then I will relax.
indierich06 Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 We're Leicester fans - it's in our nature to be pessimistic! And to be fair, the last ten years would be enough to make a pessimist out of anyone. It's a wobble, but it's one we could have done without before two big games, right at the business end of the season. Knowing City though, because we've put in two pretty poor performances against pretty poor teams - no disrespect to Blackburn or Yeovil - it wouldn't surprise me if we go out and beat the two form teams in the league now in Burnley and Wigan.
Number 6 Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 I think, in the main, you've answered this yourself. A lot of Leicester fans have seen us concede last minute goals over the years, throwing away lots of hard work. Then last season, of course, will have only exacerbated this stance. So it was a little unfamiliar when things were going so swimmingly: we were well clear at the top, our rivals were dropping points and Burnley had their best performers out injured. We've since put in a couple of draws against teams we may well expect to beat and even worse, put in two fairly abject performances (particularly Yeovil) (although multiple chances were created). We may well have a game in hand but you compare our position today to what it was a week ago and you can maybe understand the mopping of brows a touch. Of course this is an overreaction in the large and we're still in pole position for the title. We could, however, be sat in second place after Saturday with a daunting (although game in hand) trip to Wigan. It would, from here, feel like a huge blow to finish second, despite the fact that all Leicester fans would have snapped your hand off for that at the beginning of the season. Expectations get re-evaluated, now, only the title will suffice.
Lasty Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 If a run of 18 league matches unbeaten is cause for concern, then it's a concern I am very happy to have. Relax people, remember the Levein/Kelly/Megson/Allen/God knows who else/Holloway days? We're in a golden age compared to that tripe. Be happy, enjoy the ride to the Premier.
Carlos88LCFC Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 Burnley is going to be tough but the boys will be well up for it and understand they need to put in the "cup final" preformance unlike Yeovil.. I can see us getting something from this game! All the fans that are booing and what not are crazy! If you would have told me we would be where we are at this stage of the season I wouldn't have beleived you. Get behind the team, stop with your worrying. We will be in the Premiership next season regardless. QPR will not catch us, they won't win every game and we WILL NOT lose/draw every game. It's more exciting this way than running away with it. I pray for the title but enjoy the ride whilst its here... This will be part of LCFC history and hopefully we can kick on and start challenging in the Premiership! COYB!
Corky Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 I think we're past the "will we, wont we" stage in terms of promotion but it'd be a real kick in the teeth if we lost the title so I think that;s why there is a touch of anxiety. Especially because we've a tendency to **** things up. We also have a tendency under Pearson to finish the season strongly when the pressure builds- 4 wins in our last 5 in League One, 5 wins in five in 2009/10, even managed 9 points from 6 games (against mostly top 8 sides) last season after our collapse. Still fancy us to see it through, I reckon if promotion is secured soon enough we'll relax a bit and a pressure free style will win matches.
Guybino Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 This is Leicester. We are top, game in hand, 18 games unbeaten, and yet some of us here are still pessimistic! Not me though, win tomorrow and we will be champs!! GL Burnley but COYB!!!
yorkie1999 Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 I don't believe because when i was a kid i sneaked downstairs and found him shagging my mum. Heartbroken.
