Socks Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 For beating teams who haven't got a chance of catching you and also don't have the funding you have I saw the way you celebrated, like youve won the champions league. What a joke. I actually agree with Adrian Durham (and he's a cvnt) for once and think you should of just applauded and walked off the pitch Even you manager said you will never win the champions league staying in the Scottish league as their simply isnt the compettion to test you anyone else agree ? Must be the biggest clowns of Football I've seen for a long long time
MC Prussian Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 I wouldn't call them "clowns", but I do hope they do not overestimate winning a title in the weakest league for years, if not decades. The absence of Rangers has turned it into a one-team show. And as for the talk about joining the English league, it will remain just talk. Celtic know all too well that their best chance of winning titles and qualifying for the Champions League is by staying well put. If only the SPL could do something to strengthen the other eleven clubs instead.
Footballwipe Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 Lots of their fans defending their league triumph by comparing their early championship win to Bayern's Absolutely laughable, as if the dominate, feared and astonishingly good Bayern Munich team can be compared to Celtic winning the Premiership.
Socks Posted 28 March 2014 Author Posted 28 March 2014 i bet they win it next year too I mean what are the odds ? good bet forecast there?
Finnegan Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 Can you even make money betting on celtic winning the league? It must be massively dull. I can't imagine being able to take that much joy out of a foregone conclusion.
indierich06 Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 At the end of the day, they can only beat what's in front of them. It's not their fault that the rest of the league are absolutely ****ing dogshite.
Manwell Pablo Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 At the end of the day, they can only beat what's in front of them. It's not their fault that the rest of the league are absolutely ****ing dogshite. Correct, league win is a league win.
purpleronnie Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 At the end of the day, they can only beat what's in front of them. It's not their fault that the rest of the league are absolutely ****ing dogshite. Exactly.
ealingfox Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 They'd finish top 10 in the Prem, easy. They have a huge ground that is a difficult place to go, as they have proved on occasion in Europe. If they had the PL revenue, they could be a force. Might struggle a bit in the first season though, and possibly might struggle to get up from the Championship? Assuming they started at the bottom.
LcFc_Smiv Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 So professional footballers who win a league title are just meant to walk off. These guys are competitive by nature, a title is a title and they have every right to celebrate.
Manwell Pablo Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 It's a little embarrassing what people on this website have been complaining about as of late first of all ex pro's giving something back to grass roots by trying to develop the standing and academy of a Non-League club, now football players celebrating winning a league

It's like when I read on forums about fans calling opposition fans for celebrating too much when their team scores, no wonder our stadiums are so quiet, now there rules on how much you can celebrate...baffling.
Jordan Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 Who do Celtic think they are, celebrating winning the Scottish Premier League like they had won the Scottish Premier League?
Ross-Kemp Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 A huge ground that they're struggling like **** to fill. I'd like to see there average attendance this season compared to rangers who are what, 2 divisions below them.

Frost Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 A huge ground that they're struggling like **** to fill. I'd like to see there average attendance this season compared to rangers who are what, 2 divisions below them. Google seems to indicate attendance at Celtic around 46k with Rangers at 43k.
Guest MattP Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 Bit like Usian Bolt celebrating winning the paralympics if he goes deaf. I hope the poster who said they would finish top ten was taking the piss though, even how poor the lower reaches of our league are Celtic would still struggle. Gary Hooper has gone from a 40 goal a year striker to not bring able to get in a poor Norwich team and was widely considered their best player. Did Bayern fans invade the pitch when they won it? BJK

The Horse's Mouth Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 celebrating a league win? f**king disgusting imo, no place for that in the modern game.

BJK It's not nailed on, but if they had the money that the PL gets you coming in, before too long the big ground and PL cash would comfortably put them above your Stokes and West Hams. With their current team, no they wouldn't get top 10, they'd struggle hard to stay up. But if they were in the PL, they wouldn't have their current team would they?

I agree the money would help but still think they would struggle for a while, bigger clubs than Celtic have been relegated from the top flight. Not that it would happen anyway, could you imagine having to put up with that lot booing all the way through a Remembrance Day fixture silence or the EPL having to put up with all the sectarian shit they would bring down?
Fox92 Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 Leave them to celebrate how they want. They've won a league! And regardless of their quality, you can only beat what's in front of you. I like Celtic. Well done to them, well done to Lennon.
