Ok, I'm gonna get this in early, I'm genuinely sorry I slagged np and the lads tonight. I was angry, frustrated and disappointed but, at 62 years old I should kmow better. So please ft'ers, dont think bad of me, just put it down to pmt and/or early onset Alzheimers. Once again, humble apologies, now let it go.

We all have to vent every now and again and it was bloody frustrating! Have faith good sir :)

So you think he made the right decisions? Obviously it's easy to look a smartarse with hindsight.

We got out of jail tonight but I can't complain with the result.

Personally think we made the game much harder than it should have been, we rested our best players but we managed to get the job done by the skin of our teeth so I can't complain too much.

Still feels an opportunity missed, we could have been 9 points clear. Champions are ruthless and that wasn't, however another hallmark of champions is belief and a never say die attitude which is what we've got in abundance.

Looking forward to the full dossier on the players' fitness levels from before Yeovil, after Yeovil, after Burnley, after tonight and after Friday you've got to support the utter tripe you've been spouting this evening.

Good point and a point nearer our goal with 2 homes games next. Nigel and his tean got it right again with fresh players coming back on Friday. Wigan can't catch us now and they are another point clear of Forest and lets be clear QPR and Derby aren't going to win their last seven but if they do!!! we are not going to get less than 6 points.

I don't think i've ever been as relaxed as that through a game. It felt like a friendly. I genuinely didn't care too much if we lost as it was a free game and I just wanted minutes in to Kingy, Hammond, Wood and Moore who haven't played for ages. I just knew we weren't going to be beaten, i've seen this with other clubs over the years but not us. MASSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!

Goals for those two is a great tonic, they've had to play minor roles this season which must be frustrating but I felt King was very good today and Hammond showed his cleverness in protecting our back four. Two decent finishes too.

Basically this.

There's two choices here:

A) Let your best XI, already showing signs of fatigue, blow out their arses and probably draw/lose to Wigan, and then struggle against Wednesday

B) Send your second best team out, knick a draw and have your best XI fresh for Wednesday.

As for being a 'smartarse in hindsight', most said that they had a chance from the start.

Hammond lol It was a great header as well.

Let's be fair though, he was completely shit so I'm not sure who he 'shuts up' exactly. He looked like Whitbread playing in midfield, he couldn't run and he seems to have this disease where he can only pass sideways or backwards. If we'd played that midfield all season we'd be lucky to be top half.

I'd have been mortified if we'd lost our proud unbeaten run we'd worked so hard to maintain because of that display. We were second best, people, be honest.

At the end it was like OAPs United. Hammond, GTF, Konchesky, Phillips. No wonder we barely created anything.

A very strange night, it felt like a cup game between 2 championship sides, you'd never have thought it was the run in and both teams were fighting for promotion. Fortunately, we've got a decent result out of it and can hopefully go back to normal on Friday, and seal promotion at home on Tuesday :fc:

We got away with it a bit tonight; maybe it was just pure spirit that won us that point.

Can take 6 players out of a side and still get a draw and score twice away from home to the team 5th in the table.

Incredible.

Of course he made the right decision, we've just drew against arguably the best side in the league (bar us)

lol

We're how many points ahead of them?

If we'd have played our full strength side we could have, nay, probably would have beaten them.

I'll say this one last time, the staff know the fitness levels, injuries, knocks etc of all the players, you on the other hand know the square root of **** all about them. If Pearson thought it was in their and our best interests in the long term, do you not think he would have played his strongest team?

It is one thing to say you think he should have played his best 11 if they were able to. It is another to say he is or was wrong to rest people when you do not have all the full facts at hand.

That was pretty much sticking two fingers up to those who thought we couldn't cope and would get hammered if we made so many changes
