Monk Posted 1 April 2014 Posted 1 April 2014 Rode our luck tonight, certainly not as good with a second string team out - but then we have the knack of grinding out those points away from home. Good work. Still possible to seal promotion on Tuesday.
lgfualol Posted 1 April 2014 Posted 1 April 2014 Wow, if we were on the recieving end I'd be ****ing furious. But nope. WHAT A POINT WOOOHOOOOOO!!!! King and Hammond using their ability to go missing to score goals! Yay
AKCJ Posted 1 April 2014 Posted 1 April 2014 We don't know when we're beaten and that's why we're going up. Poor performance today and we'll have to improve but well done lads, i'd have taken a point with our first 11.
ADK Posted 1 April 2014 Posted 1 April 2014 A good point really. Wigan probably better in possession but didn't really create much.
Manwell Pablo Posted 1 April 2014 Posted 1 April 2014 I'm still laughing at all the fans who were slagging off Pearson and his changes for this game. Granted, we were a bit lucky. But for both King and Hammond to score to shut up the doubters was just so sweet. And it's 20 unbeaten. Incredible. Dunno why, wasn't a great performance and they deserved to win more than we did, why he waited for Wigan away to change half the team I don't know, still result will do.
Swalker Posted 1 April 2014 Posted 1 April 2014 Good result. Nice to see how knowledgeable people on this forum are, criticise the 2 goalscorers for not being good enough.
The Guvnor Posted 1 April 2014 Posted 1 April 2014 Great stream, and good result considering all the changes, what is concerning however is the number of goals we concede from set pieces.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 1 April 2014 Posted 1 April 2014 If we won't loose that we won't loose any game. Think we were so bad from set pieces because of the personal change. Different markers, roles etc
Trav Le Bleu Posted 1 April 2014 Posted 1 April 2014 20 unbeaten, I'm starting to think Alan Young is a prophet!
Tielemans63 Posted 1 April 2014 Posted 1 April 2014 All things considered - that's a great result. Showing amazing attitude will get you a long way even if you're not playing brilliantly.
Simmo86 Posted 1 April 2014 Posted 1 April 2014 Embarrassed for some people in the match thread tonight. Never learn their lesson about moaning before the game has finished!
Unabomber Posted 1 April 2014 Posted 1 April 2014 What a great point, reminds me of the cheeky ***** who used to steal points off of us.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 1 April 2014 Posted 1 April 2014 Grinded out a draw and didnt play well. Set piece defending needs to be addressed. Otherwise very good point
Happy Fox Posted 1 April 2014 Posted 1 April 2014 A good point we rode our luck at times, but we did it.
Corky Posted 1 April 2014 Posted 1 April 2014 This team never gives up, fantastic quality. We now have a refreshed Drinkwater and James to recall, Mahrez to come back in and two midfielders getting a goal each. 16 points ahead with 21 to play. Wonderful position.
Guest ttfn Posted 1 April 2014 Posted 1 April 2014 I don't think Wigan were anywhere near as dominant as some have been making out here. Perhaps we've been spoiled by our near constant domination of most games, but whilst they certainly had the better of possession (and at times we could barely string two passes together - our second came from nowhere), it's not as if Schmeichel was constantly repelling wave after wave of Wigan attacks. Another point towards promotion and the title. It also means we can still beat Reading's record.
Pegosteve Posted 1 April 2014 Posted 1 April 2014 So proud of the boys tonight. We never give up not seen this for years!
