Some great comments on here and some high praise by the boss for our lightweight defender...

'If he's late for a meeting, I change the meeting time'.

'he is an exceptionally honest professional who knows the game...centre backs who enjoy defending are a dying breed.

He has been absolutely solid. There's always a hint of doubt in people's minds when a 32/33-year old is signed. There's always a bit of skepticism due to their age about them being too slow for this division. But what Marcin lacks in speed, he certainly makes up for in positioning and sheer strenght. He's a big brute and what I love the most is that he looks like he is enjoying his time here, especially after what he's been through in his career. He has a real affinity with the fans, and you can tell that's the case wherever he's been because of the Anderlecht fans that have come over a few times.

Definitely deserves the new contract he'll be getting and I can't wait to see him in the Premier League.

Marcin, you are a star player!

I still think he goes under the ball sometimes when it's in the air and misses his header. Did it at Burnley but luckily there was a covering defender.

Not quite as good as some make out, but an honest pro who I'm sure is excellent on the training pitch and in the dressing room. Played a key part this season. Must be a dream come true for him to think he's going to be part of a premiership squad next season at his age

Or maybe everyone else is right and you're mistaken? I think nige might know a thing or 2 about being a defender

Jesus, chill out. I said he's done well but his cult status maybe makes people believe he's better than he is! Do you think he'll start our first premiership game next season?

His performances have become more and more consistent as the season has gone on, as he has been finding his feet within the English game. Love his commitment and desire, my sig says it all!

Some people won't like what he did today, I thought that's what we've been lacking personally.

Sign him up.

It's not dirty. It's just the way he defends.

I think he's one of those defenders who genuinely enjoys inflicting pain on the opposition. A rare dying breed. Old school.
