theessexfox Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 I think both teams will draw. Congratulations though - maybe being officially promoted at home on Tuesday will make the moment feel even better than in front of a TV? Definitely, though both will be amazing feelings obviously.
LJS Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Boro have hit some form recently. For some reason I thought that too. But it turns out they've only won one of their last five matches in total and one of their last six at home. Derby's away form is shite though so it will probably end up a dull draw, which suits us. I fancy Bournemouth to beat QPR. I can't wait for Tuesday night. I was there to watch us beat Brighton to win promotion eleven years ago and it would be nice for the same to happen again. But I'll take promotion however it comes and if it has to be today Tuesday should still be a big party.
Filbert_Ross Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Even if they both win we're as good as there. Even if both win we're there.
Guest Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 These games are irrelevant. we have been promoted for some time and it really doesn't matter if QPR and Derby both win today (and every other game this season). The one game I want the correct result is Watford against Burnley. A Watford win and we are so much closer to being named Champions.
Stevosevic Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 I want to go up today, hope they can do the business for us.
Raj Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 rather they win Want us to do it on Tuesday infront of our in fans...not whilst Im vacuuming the house!
lgfualol Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 I dont care how we do it, I just want that sweet sweet promotion.
Nick Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Yep I'll be watching the Tigers get mauled (hopefully not but....) on one screen and Soccer Saturday on another bring on an afternoon of banter and real ale.
surrifox Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Even if QPR draw we're as good as there, they could only match our points tally and we have GD 38 compared to their 15. well that won't help if they win all their games and we lose all ours the goal difference won't remain unchanged
Matt Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Just put it in the Betting Thread but a bet on results to go our way (Inc Burnley's game) and us to be promoted today pays just under 6/1 Bournemouth Middlesborough Win or Draw Watford The treble pays just under 6/1. I'm not on it because I don't think it offers all that much value but just putting it out there.
Foxes Blue Blood Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Get your money on AFC Bournemouth 2-1 QPR Middlesbrough 1-1 Dierby Agree with that. would also add Watford 1 Burnley 1
lancyclaret Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Just put it in the Betting Thread but a bet on results to go our way (Inc Burnley's game) and us to be promoted today pays just under 6/1 Bournemouth Middlesborough Win or Draw Watford The treble pays just under 6/1. I'm not on it because I don't think it offers all that much value but just putting it out there. Because of our injury crisis I am having my FIRST bet of the season with Burnley to lose and both QPR and Derby to win (delaying your inevitable promotion but bringing the title closer). My £50 treble (Watford 11/8, QPR 7/4 and Derby 11/8) returns £775.59. Obviously, I hope I lose the bet but could not miss the opportunity of going against the Clarets when they have 5 of their best players missing. It's like the Foxes playing Watford with De Laet, Drinkwater, Mahrez, Nugent and Vardy all missing.
Aus Fox Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 .... chipping it. While Deeny scores the winner for Watford against Burnley.
Kitchandro Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Today's results are irrelevant in the scheme of things, it's going to happen. Like some others I'd rather do it on Tuesday and have proper celebrations with the City fans. But I'll be watching Soccer Saturday all the same of course. Maybe get a bottle of champagne if the unlikely happens; I honestly think one of Derby & QPR will win. I find it hard to believe Nigel won't be thinking about the results today, despite his protestations!
kingfox Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 I wouldn't mind it if we are promoted today, I'd like to see us get it out the way. Both QPR & Derby have difficult games so I wouldn't be surprised, if it happens today. Waiting until Tuesday is not a forgone conclusion, beating Brighton is not a forgone conclusion, we could well crack under the pressure at home & lose against them, then we might have to wait for an away game to get promoted, which means no pitch invasion. I'd rather seal it today, I don't think my nerves can last a full 90 mins on Tuesday.
kylestyle06 Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 **** getting promoted today, we know it WILL happen and I'd rather it happen infront of the fans on a match night .
Les-TA-Jon Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Yh - I'm after QPR and Derby wins today. Then we can do it all together on Tuesday night!
Benji Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Derby to draw or lose and QPR to draw, I think, sees us going into Tuesday needing only a draw. Good for the chances of a home promotion
Larry_LCFC Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Burnley losing, derby drawing .... but qpr drawing

Personally I want to make it special. This should be memorable, that's the whole point of it, it shouldn't be just 'job done' from our point of view. Bournemouth 1-0 up!
