theessexfox Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Agree with the trend of replies that I really want Liverpool, but reckon Chelsea will steal it.
Samilktray Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 This whole 'Gerrard deserves a title' thing is starting to confuse me. I hear/read it at least once a day.
Kitchandro Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 I want Liverpool to win, mainly because it would be a change. Also because I sit next to a Liverpool fan at work and he'll be a right miserable bastard if they lose it now. Also Rodgers is a really likeable bloke; and a top manager who plays football the right way. He's the kind of manager that should win the Premiership. Then you've got Mourinho, who is the total opposite. He plays god awful, dirty, negative football. Has no decent strikers despite having all the resources in the world. He's responsible for giving John Obi Mikel an 8 year Premiership career. He's arrogant. Boring. A lack of respect for pretty much everyone. Is probably a psychopath. Wears scarves too often. Don't even get me started on their fans. There is nothing to like about Chelsea, they are a stain on football. But, in this shitty modern era, they'll probably grind out a title victory.
MC Prussian Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 I fancy Liverpool to win it this year and finally come up with the goods after 20+ years of absence. They offer the best and most free-flowing attacking football you can get these days and haven't suffered from too many injury problems so far. Initially, I thought Manchester City would give them a good race for the money - but with Yaya Touré out for the rest of the season, I don't know whether they can compensate for that essential loss in midfield. Chelsea... Meh.
cambridgefox Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Want Chelsea. I hate City and Liverpool so there was no other option really. Thanks Arsenal you useless pricks. I beg your fooking pardon!someone put on here once and I won't take credit for it,but they said Chelsea supporters are like " chavs that have win the lottery" brilliant. No,I'm only joking fella, your choice, but I hate everything and everyone connected to them.

leicesterisme Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Hate Chelsea and Liverpool and I had a outright bet on City earlier in the season so it's a no brainer for me.
Grandad. Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 This whole 'Gerrard deserves a title' thing is starting to confuse me. I hear/read it at least once a day. Your football intelligence is too limited to understand the reasons for football fans to want to see Steven Gerrard win the League. Obviously want Liverpool to win the League. I think we will win the League now, always said in the Premier League thready IF we beat West Ham away and City at home then I think we will win. 10 straight wins and the teams we have beaten in them 10 have given us huge momentum. Everyone keeps saying Chelsea and Mourinho can get a result at Anfield, by all means they can. I just think the fact its sandwiched in between two Champions League semi-finals AND the fact that Mourinho has to win at Anfield, a point simply won't do, I think them two factors will be too much for Chelsea.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Want Chelsea think maybe Liverpool will win it now. but Jose is the master tactician imo he could do something at Anfield
kingcarr21 Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 would love to see Gerrard win the league. think liverpool Want liverpool
C-man Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Liverpool will win it purely because I want anybody but them to win it. Absolutely despicable club. Would someone explain to me Gerrard 'deserves' a title any more than anyone else?
Grandad. Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Liverpool will win it purely because I want anybody but them to win it. Absolutely despicable club. Would someone explain to me Gerrard 'deserves' a title any more than anyone else? lol lol Despicable?! Maybe the fact he is probably the best footballer to never win one? The fact he stuck through a load of shit with Liverpool when he could so very easily have left for pretty much any club in the world? He is one of the few who actually gives a **** about the national team as well, many England fans can see and appreciate that so they want him to win the League. If you honestly think he doesn't deserve one then fair enough, but don't sound bitter and twisted about something that really will have no impact on Leicester City, Borussia Dortmund or your life.
Samilktray Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 It's a shame he didn't get that move to Chelsea he wanted. He'd have won that title he so badly deserves by now.
leicsmac Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 If they were a team that didn't have that insufferable racist excuse for a human being Suarez banging in goals/assists for them I'd say Liverpool as who I wanted without question. As it is, I'd still like them to win it ahead of Chelsea or Man City for Gerrard and noveltys sake, but it took a little thought. As for who I think will win it? Comes down to the Chelsea-Liverpool game. Liverpool draw or win and it's theirs, I reckon. Chelsea win and it's theirs. As an addenum, I actually have reasons to despise Arsenal and Man U as well as the aforementioned three clubs. Really not a fan of the upper echelons of the Prem wholesale, ambivalence towards Everton aside. But I would like Liverpool this year, because I do think Gerrard deserves it, it would add variety and they've played the best standard of football.
Grandad. Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 It's a shame he didn't get that move to Chelsea he wanted. He'd have won that title he so badly deserves by now. Wanted? Oh are you going to bring up some absolute myth up now into why Steven Gerrard stopped at Liverpool now? He never wanted to leave Liverpool, simple as that, he thought he would have too get the money he deserved, as soon as the club offered him what he knew he deserved then he stayed.

He never wanted to leave Liverpool, simple as that, he thought he would have too get the money he deserved, as soon as the club offered him what he knew he deserved then he stayed. So he never wanted to leave Liverpool unless he was paid enough money by them?
Grandad. Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 So he never wanted to leave Liverpool unless he was paid enough money by them? He thought he deserved more money and couldn't understand why as captain and captain of the team who had just won the Champions League wasn't being offered the same or money than players like Harry Kewell and Djibril Cisse. That is all it came down too. Money, yeah maybe it could of been dealt with in a better way, Mourinho and Chelsea clearly didn't help. Gerrard went to the extreme to get what he believe he deserved and that was to put a transfer request in, Chelsea offered money for him, rejected and Gerrard never spoke to Chelsea.
Fox92 Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 He wanted to leave because he thought the club valued his sale/money more than him. Believe me, I'm a massive Gerrard fan I've got the DVDs and books. Of course he would have been offered more money to stay, that's part of football. The next day after he was linked with Chelsea both Gerrard and Carragher signed long term deals at the club. It's funny when people say "haha he hasn't got a PL winners medal"... He's just got everything else instead, including the Champions League in a final that he massively influenced. He's scored in every major cup final and those goals against West Ham are legendary.

I agree with most of that but the part in bold isn't true, it wasn't the next day, it went on for a good week or so. The club and Gerrard's representatives working out the deal. Gerrard did hand the transfer request in and Chelsea did make an offer. Gerrard and Carragher signing deals was a little after all this happening.

I have half a dozen reasons as to why I despise Liverpool and as such don't want them to win anything. Same as why I would never want Forest, Stoke etc to win anything. Hardly bitter and twisted. As for Gerrard, I agree that he's a fantastic player and genuinely does care for England but there have been plenty of great players (some as loyal, some not) never to win the league - Sir Stanley Matthews, Sir Bobby Moore, Glen Hoddle, Paul Gascoigne et al. That's without even looking at players from other leagues.I doubt any of them had the suffix to their name of 'deserved to win the league title' when their careers finished.
Guest MattP Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Only a Liverpool fan could even try to claim he's the best player to never win a league! ! If it's true he asked for a transfer just to force more money then it's dreadful, that's football though now, Rooney employed the same tactics and it's managed to earn him 1.2 million a month. On the question pretty much in line with others, what a horrid choice, City's arab money, Chelsea dire football or Liverpool's unbearable fans? Ugh.

And I'm sure around the time, people would have said that about them players. Gerrard does deserve to win the Premier League, simple as that. Not liking Stoke and Forest are a given for a Leicester fan, Liverpool? Don't see it. Especially in a modern day football, when the last time we played Leicester was over 10 years ago. Or is it down to the fans, Hillsborough, Heysel and anything else you want to chuck at Liverpool FC? Like I said it is bitter and twisted, Liverpool winning the League has no effect on your life or Leicester CIty, why not be happy for a club who could potentially win the League with a squad of British/English players, who haven't spent all the money on the League and a club who weren't expected to be in this position at the start of the season. At the end of the day, I couldn't really care less if people wants us to win the League, not arsed one bit.
