sylofox Posted 1 July 2014 Posted 1 July 2014 I can just see all the comments now when this comes off claiming people wanted him etc. You won't see one from me. I'll support the guy in our colours but the fee is way too much. 4mill yes any more we have paid over the odds IMO.

lgfualol Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 Decent goals, it has 70% sold me. Anyone else think the more desperate we seem bidding for him, the higher the price we will have to pay for other strikers?
jammie82uk Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 I can just see all the comments now when this comes off claiming people wanted him etc. Not from me you won't he's not remotely impressed me when I have seen him play Price is way too inflated in my opinion but if Nigel and his stuff think that he will fit in well with the system he wants to play next season then so be it I just think there are better strikers out there for the money we reportedly want to spend on him

OK, I second that..
dpjfox Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 if hes keen to join us he will/should hand in transfer request as McCormack has just done at Leeds to enable him to join Fulham
Nick Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 if hes keen to join us he will/should hand in transfer request as McCormack has just done at Leeds to enable him to join Fulham I think you get a free packed lunch at Fulham - progressive move for McCormack
Mark_w Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 I think you get a free packed lunch at Fulham - progressive move for McCormack Do you reckon we could get Sam Byram for a babybel and a packet of wotsits?
jammie82uk Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 Really, you'll let Nige get on with it? OK, I second that.. What I meant was I don't think he is good enough to fit in our current team with the system we had in place last season Ulloa must have very specific attributes that will complement our system we will be playing next season that can't be found elsewhere if he is willing to pay that sort of money

ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 Pace, aerial threat, scores with head, strong/hold up play to name but a few, can you suggest an alternative with similar attributes available for us to sign for a similar fee? Oscar Cardozo
Fox Ulike Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 Oscar Cardozo We'd be mental to spend £7m on a 31 year-old striker who has never played in England before. At 28 Ulloa is at his peak. He's got 3 good years in him. So £7m on him represents much better value...

muzzy1981 Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 I like the fact that nobody else is in for him, feels like he might be our secret weapon. I trust the team to get the right players in, just hope we get them in early enough for them to bed in.
jammie82uk Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 Pace, aerial threat, scores with head, strong/hold up play to name but a few, can you suggest an alternative with similar attributes available for us to sign for a similar fee? Are you saying there isn't any?
wakeyfox01 Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 Are you saying there isn't any? You don't seem to be able to suggest one
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 Ulloa is clearly painfully overpriced beyond my wildest thoughts but we have to trust the management on this issue
jammie82uk Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 You don't seem to be able to suggest one There has been plenty suggested on here already namely Vincent Aboubakar as an example my suggestion however would be Britt Assombalonga
stb1996 Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 Agree with what most have said, Id like him in but £7million is a little too steep for my liking Was good to see he is very handy with his head, as we'll need someone to thrive off Alrighton's crossing ability
johnny the fox Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 Look if his goals help keep us up, 7 big ones will be cheap at half the price...we have got to get out of this small club mentality..
Rocky Dennis Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 Are you saying there isn't any? Call me naive, but I think I'll trust Nige and his staff on this, they seem to know what they're doing, no?
jammie82uk Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 Call me naive, but I think I'll trust Nige and his staff on this, they seem to know what they're doing, no? Which is exactly what I said at the start
Rocky Dennis Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 Which is exactly what I said at the start Yes, but I said it with irony
skegness fox Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 If top is willing to put 180million into the club why not get both in especially if nugent leaves!
