Claridge Posted 7 July 2014 Posted 7 July 2014 Yes you can. Shearer, Suarez, Van Persie etc .... If you pay enough you can guarantee buying goals. Think shearer would struggle to get many, poor record last year.
5waller5 Posted 7 July 2014 Posted 7 July 2014 Hind sight is a wonderful thing. But at the point of signing there was no guarantee's But that's the thing ... you pay enough and you get as close to a guarantee as you can get .... That's not with hindsight .... The big money signings come with an expectation of success and if they are a striker an expectation of goals. We can't afford those guarantees, like most teams outside the top 5, but it doesn't mean that those players don't exist. If we could afford him and attract him Tevez would guarantee us goals.
5waller5 Posted 7 July 2014 Posted 7 July 2014 Torres? Just out of curiosity i looked up his stats .... They are pretty impressive!!! Club goals 217 from 558. International goals 38 from 110. Even this seemingly good example proves the point that you can buy goals ... they just cost a lot!!! Hind sight is a wonderful thing. But at the point of signing there was no guarantee's You don't need hindsight with those 3 ... When they signed for their last club they guaranteed goals.

Would he and would any player you have mentioned. Yes they would score some but the players you mention Have all gone to top clubs. So the supply they get is very different to what they would get from most clubs outside the top 6. Just out of curiosity i looked up his stats .... They are pretty impressive!!! Club goals 217 from 558. International goals 38 from 110. Even this seemingly good example proves the point that you can buy goals ... they just cost a lot!!! You don't need hindsight with those 3 ... When they signed for their last club they guaranteed goals. Looks good as an average. But the truth in Chelsea's case is 20 goals in 110 games. So how much do you need to spend to guarantee goals as 50m gets Chelsea a goal every 5.5 games on average. And our fans have the nerve to moan about Nugent ffs.
FoxyPalace.com Posted 7 July 2014 Posted 7 July 2014 Ha Ha The Brighton Fans think we are going to offer Kasper plus cash for Ulloa! Someones been sniffing the Bostik

Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 7 July 2014 Posted 7 July 2014 They must be aware he signed a 4 year deal the other week?
johnny the fox Posted 7 July 2014 Posted 7 July 2014 This could have legs, I know Kasper yearns for the sound of the waves crashing on the seashore... Its enough to turn any young man's heed..There are some lovely antique shops in Brighton, who would not be tempted?
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 7 July 2014 Posted 7 July 2014 Ha Ha The Brighton Fans think we are going to offer Kasper plus cash for Ulloa! Someones been sniffing the Bostik More likely to be poppers!
dayday Posted 8 July 2014 Posted 8 July 2014 We are still interested in Ulloa according to the mirror.
mozartfox Posted 8 July 2014 Posted 8 July 2014 Very big Yawn . Totally bored with this one now - 25 pages of non-news. Might be a good time to close the thread and only re-open if he becomes a confirmed transfer?

Mark Posted 8 July 2014 Posted 8 July 2014 I seem to remember that happening and getting shot down for it. There's been no news since it got reopened either. Can't win..
Babylon Posted 8 July 2014 Posted 8 July 2014 Perhaps people should just NOT READ THE THREAD. It's like being outraged at a TV programme but refusing to change channel with the remote right next to you. Even more moronic that you moan about there being no news, when there actually is news one post above your own. It's not a news site, it's a discussion forum is it not.

All it takes is someone to run a locked thread that can be updated with ACTUAL news.Every time I read the thread I'm hoping something is in there that provides insight. Aswell as a discussion board, we house people who can shed light on things; they also rub shoulders with drivel posters unfortunately.

You mean someone to give up their free time to make YOUR life easier. Mods don't get paid, they all mostly have jobs. If these people who you think are ITK have said anything it would be being discussed.

Find a girl, settle down, if you want you can marry, look at me, I am old but i'm happy.
mozartfox Posted 8 July 2014 Posted 8 July 2014 So great Babylon I am now a moron and the Daily Mirror is now font of everything Leicester City. As you point out it is not a news site but a discussion site. I merely pointed out that there has been 25 pages of discussion about a 'non-transfer'. I Apologise for having an opinion that differs from yours.
Babylon Posted 8 July 2014 Posted 8 July 2014 So great Babylon I am now a moron and the Daily Mirror is now font of everything Leicester City. So if a NEWS article isn't news then what is? The mirror broke the story about Ulloah and James Nursey often has good information about the club. As you point out it is not a news site but a discussion site. I merely pointed out that there has been 25 pages of discussion about a 'non-transfer'. I Apologise for having an opinion that differs from yours. Lets not talk about anything until it's on the OS then, lets close the transfer forum.

We've had 3 bids turned down for him, are we only allowed to discuss something once a bid is accepted and the doctor is sticking a finger up Leo's 'arris in his medical? 25 pages might seem a little excessive but that's the nature of the pre-season on a very popular forum.

ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 8 July 2014 Posted 8 July 2014 Ive heard he prefers the whole fist. Probably why he'd happily stay at Brighton
