Leonardo Ulloa (Brighton) - Bid accepted

Everything's more expensive down south..if he played for Huddersfield he'd cost about 3 million and they'd be happy with it!

Inflation I tell you! Thatchers Britain!

This is dead in the water unless he hands in a transfer request seems unlikely given that we have made effort to sign him but Brighton aren't bulging, we have moved on well I hope we have.

Fraizer Campbell and Graziano Pelle would be good additions if we can get them in.

Do need a central midfielder and a LB and I would say we are good to go for the prem campaign.

if we have bid 6.5 million for him and brighton don't accept then Graziano Pelle would be a better option for me, pay the extra for a the better player!

They don't have the biggest rugby union side in the country five minutes down the road that drags in 20,000 though....

Until this new stadium they struggled to fill an old athletics stadium.

no they didn't

Is he better?

Is he worse? :dunno:

I don`t think many of us know, or can truly judge to be honest.

I know nothing about Pelle, so can`t judge him at all, and have only seen Ulloa against us, and now and again on the box.

Personally Ulloa hasn`t really impressed me that much when i`ve seen him, despite his goals against us, on our hangover celebration night, but most Brighton fans seem to think he`s decent, and if it`s true that we are really willing to offer 6.5 million for him, then obviously Pearson and our scouting network think he`s worth the money, and so i think we really have to trust in them, after all, they haven`t done to badly for us so far have they.

Brighton have ambition. They were in the play offs the last 2 seasons. They sold Bridcutt in January and don't appear to need another sale. Why sell your main striker unless you have to?

Time will tell. No sign of him requesting a move so far.

When a player formally requests a move then usually forfeit their Loyalty bonus which can often run above a million pounds so very few formally request one. In the meantime their agent is usually digging around like a dog on crack behind the scenes

Well fvck the reaction to the statement, if people think he's worth £6.5m they're entitled to that opinion but mine is that he isn't worth anywhere near that. He's under contract to 2017 and Brighton don't need to sell, we're still a long way from the start of next season so move on and find another player who fits the bill and If we're going to spend that kind of money on a striker (I have no problem with that) he should be a proven player.

With you on it when someone that watches him says he ain't prem class and 6.5m they are having a laugh.

But some of the KIA's on here seem to think they are right and you can't have a view about a player if NP is intrested.

Oh yes he is.

Just look back a few pages when I dare say he is not.

He or any player are worth what ever the buying clubs decide they will pay.  The market for players works the same as any other market, supply and demand.  If a player is not on a transfer list, in other words his club doesn't want him any more then there is a price set for that transaction, if however a club wants a player not listed then the selling club are entitled to set whatever price they want.  If the buying club pays it that is what the player is worth.

You have to trust your management to know and understand player values.  In the real world of high class player market the guys at the front office understand much more than fans all the aspects involved in setting value.

That doesn't mean each and every player transaction works out, but who are you to decide what a player is worth.  i am sure there is an enormous amount involved in deciding these things.

What a piss poor ground that was. I remember going down there and being a mile away from the pitch. I swear we took more away fans than they had home fans.

Caaaaan you tell us who has scored??
