Leonardo Ulloa (Brighton) - Bid accepted

but you look at the important stats v nugent, 14 goals, 4 assists and 40 key passes against 20 goals , 12 assists and 72 key passes. And we're thinking of letting nugent go and have this guy as a possible replacement for 10 million quid + probably 45 grand a week. That's just daft.

I totally agree with I would much prefer to keep nugent

A pretty damning indictment on the idea of signing Ulloa, but if it was as black and white as that, we wouldn't have bid for him in the first place, let alone upwards of 6 million bob. Also what those stats don't show you is that Nugent scored 10 penalties, probably had at least twice as many scoring opportunities as Ulloa, and twice as many touches in the opposition half.

I'm not all for signing him but if Brighton fans reckon he'd have bagged 25+ playing for us this season I can believe them.

Different teams, different systems, different type of player

A bob was a shilling or 5p in new money... So 6million bob is £300k. I'd have him for that!

I'm sorry but how is he worth that amount  money, if he's worth 10M what is Vardy etc worth check the stats out from brighton fan in the link, also don't exect him to win many headers with them stats lol http://notworththat.wordpress.com/2014/05/29/how-does-leo-ulloa-compare-to-other-championship-strikers/

Surprised you haven't had 4 paragraphs+ teaching you about how the market in football works and therefore the player is worth every penny of £10m :nigel:

If that's is the case Rickie Lambert is worth 20M

He would have been however at the medical they found him to be slightly imbalanced.

His right bollok was bigger than his left that made him worth 10m

But the fact he did not disclose it ment he was only worth 6m

Then there was the fact he had got England cap's that don't count in Liverpool so 4m was the fee.

However in the real world he is actually worth 35m smarties and a bag of skittles.

If anyone can not understand all of that you can buy a slide rule for £200 from me.

Leicester look elsewhere - but 'still interested' in Ulloa

Premier League new boys Leicester City have turned their immediate attentions away from Albion star Leo Ulloa.

But the Foxes, who have had seven-figure bids for the Seagulls’ top scorer rebuffed, are believed to still be keeping tabs on the striker.

Leicester are in talks with Frazier Campbell of Cardiff and are reported to be keen on Yuri Movsisyan of Spartak Moscow.

But the Argus understands that does not mean they have admitted defeat in their attempts to lure Ulloa to the King Power Stadium.

A spokesman for Ulloa said last night: “We understand Leicester are still interested but there has been no further update over the last few days.â€

The Seagulls have made it clear they have no need to sell their frontman.

Manager Sami Hyypia is keen to talk with Ulloa when both men are back at work in preparation for next season.

Hyypia has also stressed his desire to keep Ulloa on board and has vowed to assess attacking options available to him before making any tactical plans.

Ulloa and his family, who jetted off to Argentina together soon after lastseason ended, are all happy in Brighton and Hove.

But the striker is also ambitious to play in the Premier League.

Hyypia has been studying player options but fans still await the first signing of his tenure.

The more this is going on the more convinced I am we'll keep him .... only for him to get a season ending injury in the opening game

The player needs to break his silence.

Once he says he's not bothered by Leicester's interest then we can move on.

It's currently a waste of Leicester's and Brighton's time if he feels that way.

I think you are making the same mistake as Bristol City, could have got a shed load from us for Nicky Maynard then not even half of that price a few months later lol

I can't believe people don't want this guy.

He looked class to me and tore us to shreds when we played them, he has score an extremely good amount of goals as well given he plays in one of the most defensively minded teams in the division and is often isolated up front on his own.

Ulloa/Vardy could be a really effective partnership, would clearly strengthen us massively on set pieces as well offensively.

Is that not telling you something.

Not saying I don't want Ulloa but at the stupid money they are asking sorry No Way.

BHA are taking the piss and even at 6m they are taking the piss.

Just cos we have money no need to throw it away on a player that may or may not make the step up.

why are we the only prem side after him

Our management must see something in him and thats fair enough.

But at the stupid price they are asking it won't happen.

They are hardly going to cave in now and say 5m you can have him.

It does make you wonder a little that no other club is sniffing around from any level have we got him wrong though.

every other club might just be watching it develope, if/when we finally say no, they might jump in with 5.1mill

Doesn't suggest anything really.

We won't find another player like him, at least I can't think of another realistic signing like him.
