Have to agree with you there, Ric.  Probably explains why we haven't moved any further with Campbell (the £800k will be needed to get near Brighton's demands for Ulloa) - that and Nuge PROBABLY re-signing.

Nice to see that he's not content to bum around in the Championship forever but has a bit of ambition to better himself.

 

 Of all the names being bandied about I think this is the one that we need.

 

£7m is a lot to spend admittedly but I think he'd really add to the squad by being the sort of 'hold-up' man that we really just don't have at the mo.

Not convinced we'd need to save £800k to buy someone. Pretty sure if NP values somebody then we would buy them. Campbell is clearly Vardy's competition and Ulloa is an alternative (replacement) to Nugent

I'd be gutted to lose him , really hope Sami can talk him into staying (if this IS true of course) but wouldn't want a player who doesn't want to be here.

I think the same as I say when other clubs chase players. If he wants a move, he should hand in a transfer request. Otherwise he should keep his head down and let his club do their business.

Just looked at his compilation on u tube - looks like beast , very strong and seem like he can score all sorts of Goals , especially with his head . Do you think he would be good enough in the prem if we can get him ?

Problem is we gamble on expensive striker and it does not work out ?

Bigger problem if we go into the PL season without a clinical finisher and someone who can score with his head.

Vardy was our most clinical finisher last season and he missed a fair few.

I can just see all the comments now when this comes off claiming people wanted him etc.

It's not for any of us to decide really as we have to trust the management

Personally I think the alledged transfer fee being talked about is nuts. Silly stupid money

But what do I know?

He clearly knows where the net is at championship level. With the money that seems to be involved I'm a little worried we're taking a big gamble?

However in NP we trust!
